00:00Why are brand-new Wicked Barbie dolls being resold on eBay for hundreds of dollars?
00:06This week, YouTuber Just2Good went viral for revealing that Mattel had accidentally printed Wicked.com on their Glinda and other doll boxes.
00:18Wicked.com is an adult entertainment site and WickedMovie.com is the actual website for the Wicked movie.
00:26She even checked to see if other toy brands had made the same mistake and reported that Lego is innocent.
00:33This group may be bad for Mattel and the Wicked movie, but it's pretty great for Wicked.com
00:40because it got its highest level of traffic, the site did, since 2012 because of this scandal.
00:47They even used pink and green backgrounds on their site seemingly as an intentional reference to the movie.
00:55The dolls have been recalled, hence the expensive eBay prices, and Mattel's put out a statement apologizing and feeling pretty stupid about the whole thing.
01:06The Wicked movie has been collaborating with every brand under the sun that has ever existed in the history of the world,
01:12so it's kind of no surprise that at least one of them went horribly awry.
01:17The story is pretty crazy, but I also feel like it's kind of getting lost in the shuffle of all the other crazy things that are going on in the world.
01:23Like, imagine if a site like that was on a toy box, like, 15 years ago.
01:29Like, it would be on the news every day for, like, a month.
01:34What do you think about this whole Wicked.com thing?
01:37Are you surprised that an oversight of this magnitude happened, or are you kind of feeling bad for the guy who didn't notice it?
