00:00Cardiff is an amazing city. There aren't many places that have got so much in a relatively
00:07small space. You have a thriving city centre, ocean views, amazing museums and attractions
00:14but something that sets it aside from others is its park space. The city has acres and
00:21acres of parkland and each one has something different and unique about it. From the beautiful
00:26lake at Wroath Park to the incredible trees and forests in areas like Bute Park to the
00:31memorial parks with sculptures and statues, Cardiff's parks are totally unique and something
00:36that makes us love our city even more than we already could. What's particularly special
00:41about Cardiff's parks though is that they're literally a walk away from the city centre.
00:45Something that most places around the UK and really the rest of the world don't have. Bute
00:50Park is the big city centre park where through the summer you'll see hordes of people flock
00:55to and enjoy picnics and days out in the sun. There are more champion trees which is
00:59the largest of its type in the UK than any other park in the country so you can search
01:03around and try and find them all. Wroath Park is another huge and incredibly beautiful park
01:08not far from the city centre. It's lake with the iconic lighthouse is definitely the highlight
01:13and there's nothing like a walk around Wroath Park Lake and there's so much more to the
01:17park than just that. There are rose gardens, parks for the kids and a conservatory welcomes
01:23visitors to explore exotic plants and animals. Alexandra's Garden is another highlight just
01:29behind the museum and city hall. It's got war memorials, the beautiful architecture
01:33in the middle. In the summer there's beautiful flower beds. Just across to Gorseth Gardens
01:38there are statues and a peaceful atmosphere just in front of the museum. It's hard to
01:44believe you're quite literally just across the road from the city centre so it's a great
01:47place to feel like you're a million miles away. Cardiff has too many parks to talk about
01:53all of them but that's definitely one of the reasons why we love our city quite so much.
