2024 has been a year often dominated by politics, but we’re taking a look at the more fun side of the year. I’m here in Cardiff speaking to people about their memories and achievements of the past 12 months, from life changing holidays to finishing school and college. it’s been quite the year, with plenty to look back on.

00:00Well, I'm still alive. That's an achievement in itself.
00:05No, I've had a great year. Every year's a great year.

00:12I'm just enjoying life.
00:14Well, I had two good holidays yesterday, yeah.
00:17I did ten days in Turkey,
00:19and we did a bit of an American road trip,
00:21so LA, we went to Vegas,
00:24and then we flew up back via Miami, so, yeah.
00:29Lots of nice things have happened this year,
00:31but recently, the last couple of weeks,
00:33I've been to Abu Dhabi to the F1 Grand Prix,
00:36which also included, as well as all the practice races, etc.,
00:40and pit lane walk, some concerts,
00:42which included Maroon 5, Teddy Swims, Eminem, Muse.
00:48So it's been pretty good the last few weeks, yeah.
00:51And now we're here to do our Christmas shopping
00:53and get into the spirit, go to the Christmas market in a bit.
00:57Myself, I went to Mecca back in April,
01:00and back in August, I went to South Korea for, like, two weeks.
01:03My first time there, so, yeah, very, very full.
01:07Finished college.
01:10Not much else.
01:12Passport driving test.
01:14What about you?
01:16Obviously, yeah, finished college, got into university.
01:19And, yeah, you know, just, like, small, like, personal softballs.
01:22Like, there's one, like, uni scene I'm there for.
01:25You know, I hadn't kicked ball, like, football in, like, years,
01:28and then I pushed myself,
01:29and I've got myself some minutes on the football team,
01:31and, you know, it's just, like, little self-goals like that.
01:34We've done lots of exams in school, so that's an achievement.
01:37Like, we got a fair set of results in the summer,
01:39and we'll get our second ones next summer,
01:41so that's quite an achievement, I think, yeah.
01:43My holidays, I love going away on holidays, I do.
01:46So I'm going out, I'm going over to see my friend Jackie
01:49in Age Travel there, so...
01:51And I've got a new partner this year,
01:54and never been happier in my life, so...
