00:00Hi, and welcome back to another episode of The Land's Last Look, where we take a look
00:09at some of the stud stock sale results and trends across New South Wales. I'm journalist
00:13Elke Debney. And I'm livestock editor, Rebecca Natch. Today, we're looking for the most influential
00:19Merino sales. This is, of course, Rams sold at auction by New South Wales Studs at New
00:24South Wales Sales. I think it's fair to say that the top end of the Merino sales probably
00:29tracked a bit better than expected this season. Coming in at number 10 is Outback Merinos
00:34at the Murrah. They sold 199 of 200 rams to a top of 7,500 to average 2,300. That would
00:43have been a good sale. Yeah, it actually really would have been, but I got cut out in the
00:48marshes. I didn't make it in person, unfortunately, but still a great result for the steel family.
00:53Next we have Hazeldean with 205 rams selling to $10,000, averaging 2,834. It's worth noting,
01:01Hazeldean also makes it into the top 10 Angus studs, too. In eighth is Wanganalla at Bulbanoopie
01:07with 209 rams selling to a $22,000 top, averaging 2,750. And Roseville Park comes in at seventh
01:14with 210 to 22,000 to average 3,178. Sixth we have Haddon Creek with 263 rams to $18,000,
01:24averaging 2,570. And coming in fifth is Pudginook with 268 rams to 6,500, averaging 2,358.
01:35Fourth is Yarrawonga with 274 rams to $20,000, averaging a massive 4,183. And third is Bundilla
01:43from Yonge with 298 rams selling to $8,000 to average 3,842. Coming in second is Mumblebye
01:52Marinos, 344 rams to $14,000, averaging 3,017. And number one is Yobles-Curent Park, which cleared
02:01a massive 541 rams to a $10,000 top, to average 2,835. Some impressive results there, Bec. Some
02:10other strong sales include Lachlan Marinos with 160 sold to a $21,000 top, to average 3,780.
02:19And Grassy Creek with 171 to 12,500 to average 3,545. Yeah, congratulations to all those studs.
02:27You can find all these results and more at the Lands website. That's all we have time for this
02:32week, but next week we'll be back breaking the most influential meat-sheep studs. See you then.
