Teodoro to meet Austin before Trump takeover
Defense Secretary Giberto Teodoro Jr. on Nov. 15, 2024 says he will meet with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin this week to discuss the two countries' security sector assistance roadmap, the bilateral strategic dialogue and other mechanisms and 'to thank him for what he has done to make the alliance not only bilaterally but multilaterally enduring against the face of a distorted plan of action by China.' Austin is expected to step down from his post as President-elect Donald Trump appoints his own men, including a new Defense chief.
