00:00An NGO has filed a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, urging the agency

00:07to investigate a whistleblower who allegedly has information about corrupt practices involving

00:12several Sabah assemblymen regarding project license approvals.

00:17Garakan Kwaseraya Malaysia Chairman Zulkarnain Mahdar said the report was filed because

00:22the whistleblower had failed to submit a complaint to MACC and instead went public with his claims

00:27via a series of videos.

00:30He said the NGO's intention is not to defend those accused, but rather to ensure that the

00:35MACC investigates the content and claims presented.

00:38If you find out about a matter that violates the law or misuse of power, you should inform

00:49the SPR.

00:53Malaysia Kini cited eight videos from the whistleblower showing discussions between

00:57a businessman and assemblyman about bribes for a project license.

01:01The whistleblower's lawyer said his client was willing to provide evidence to MACC if

01:06the anti-graft agency could guarantee that he would not be investigated, but MACC Chief

01:12Commissioner Azam Baki said the whistleblower should first file an official complaint.

01:17Sabah Chief Minister Haji Jinnur has since said he had nothing to hide and called on

01:21MACC to probe the case.
