The Selangor Budget 2025 is allocateing RM4mil for the control and prevention of dengue in the state.

When tabling the Selangor Budget 2025 on Friday (Nov 15), Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the state government will also look into providing the dengue vaccination, which was introduced in Malaysia early this year, for the people of Selangor.

00:00Today, I also suggest that we follow Regulation No. 78 to be followed by Regulation No. 48 and No. 53.
00:08In addition, the state government has also implemented improvements to the Dengue Respiratory Program
00:13and the health of the people of Emas.
00:15The state government is also aware of the fact that the cumulative rate of dengue cases in Selangor
00:20shows an increase trend,
00:22in line with the density of the population and the rapid development of the economy in this country.
00:26As of 9 November 2024, 56,400 cases of dengue fever have been recorded throughout Selangor,
00:34which is 50% of the total cases of dengue fever recorded in our country,
00:40which is 111,250 cases.
00:45To continue the agenda of reducing dengue cases in Selangor,
00:48the Dengue Control and Prevention Program will be continued in 2025
00:53with a budget of 4 million ringgit.
00:55In addition, the state government will propose alternatives
00:58to reduce the health complications caused by dengue
01:01through the dengue vaccine,
01:03which has been introduced in Malaysia earlier this year.
01:07The state government, through Celgate, HealthCast and Berhad,
01:09will cooperate with several health care providers
01:13in accordance with the use of the dengue vaccine for the people of Selangor
01:18in accordance with the situation and needs of the people of Selangor.
