Authorities are intensifying efforts to locate an eight-year-old boy who was swept away by strong currents after falling into a large drain in Bandar Baru Uda, Tampoi , Johor Baru on Friday (Nov 15) afternoon.
Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh said the boy had been playing near the drain with two friends, aged seven and eight, when he reportedly slipped into the water.

00:45and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the search.
00:51In the light of the incident, ACP Balvir also issued a reminder to parents
00:55to closely monitor their children, particularly during the monsoon season
01:00and to keep them away from dangerous areas such as rivers and drains.
