An eight-year-old boy was found dead in a fire at a wooden house in Kampung Telisai, Lahad Datu, Sabah on Wednesday (Aug 21) night.

Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station chief Sumsoa Rashid said the boy's body was discovered in a room by firefighters.

Meanwhile a 20-year-man is feared to have drown after he went missing from his boat while crossing a river in Beaufort on Wednesday.

00:38It is said that boy Abdullah had gone missing at a river at Kampung Bangkalalak while he
00:42was crossing over to send supplies.
00:45A search is currently being conducted along the riverbank around where the victim was
00:49reported to have gone missing.
