Controversial radio broadcaster and former Wallabies coach Alan Jones has been charged with the sexual assault of eight people over two decades.

00:00About 7.45am this morning, detectives from the Child Abuse Squad executed a search warrant
00:07at a unit in Circular Quay, where they arrested an A3 Ryan male.
00:13That male was later taken to the Sydney City Police Station, where he has been charged
00:19with 24 offences.
00:21Those offences include 11 charges of aggravated indecent assault, where the victim was under
00:28the authority of the offender, 9 charges related to assault with active indecency, 2 charges
00:37of common assault and 2 charges of sexual touching.
00:43Police will allege these offences took place between 2001 and 2019, involving 8 victims.
00:54The youngest of those victims was 17-year-old at the time when the alleged offence took place.
01:04The accused has been given conditional bail to appear before the Downing Centre Local
01:12Court on 18 December 2024.
