00:00Some NBA action and some hardwood handicaps on this Monday with your two premier NBA handicappers
00:09on the Space Grizz Network.
00:11That is Donny Rightside and myself, Ben Stevens.
00:14Eight games around the association on this Monday night.
00:17Tomorrow, DRS, some more NBA Cup action where everybody will have an eye on, I believe,
00:24East Group C.
00:26Regardless, it's the group that includes both the Celtics and the Cavaliers.
00:31We'll talk about that game tomorrow.
00:33Let's go late night to Los Angeles to end out this Monday night slate of eight games.
00:39The Clippers playing host to the Golden State Warriors, California Clash, Golden State,
00:44four and a half point road favorite in Los Angeles.
00:46Yeah, it should be a good one here.
00:48And by the way, the only way I ever bet the Clippers is by the three point line.
00:52If it's James Harden, if it's Norman Powell, I usually don't ever take them as a side
00:55perspective.
00:56And I don't think they're going to win tonight.
00:57Stephen Curry should be able to light up the Clippers, maybe a total to the over in this
01:01one.
01:02But for me, as usual, just trying to get those three point props in here, I would be focused
01:05once again on my guy, Norman Powell.
01:07He's treated me very kindly this year so far, Ben.
01:10Yes, he has, DRS.
01:12Yes, he certainly has.
01:13The Clippers back at the Intuit Dome.
01:16They started a lot of their season at home in their new arena in downtown L.A., four
01:22and four in eight games straight up, played at home this year.
01:26Golden State, one of the worst road teams you will ever see.
01:29Two seasons ago, better on the road last year away from San Francisco.
01:34This year, the team with the best mark in the Western Conference to start at ten and
01:38two overall is six and one straight up on the road.
01:43It is why they are booked as a four and a half point favorite.
01:46The Dubs have won three consecutive games.
01:50Another team in the Western Conference off to a pretty strong start this year.
01:54In fact, there's only three teams with double-digit wins.
01:57That's the Houston Rockets, ten and four in year number two under Emei Odoka.
02:02Five-game win streak for Houston as they take that five-game streak on the road to Milwaukee
02:09tonight to box a three and a half point home favorite inside the Pfizer Forum.
02:13Yeah, give me the points of this with the Houston Rockets.
02:16Also, we're taking a look at the anticipated starting lineup, which does have Damian Lillard
02:19listed in there.
02:20But is that actually a good thing?
02:21It was like, hey, man, he was playing great basketball before he got his concussion.
02:24No, he wasn't playing some of the worst basketball of his career.
02:27We saw a couple of games ago, a 59-point effort at Aiyannas, which then the following game
02:31turned into a 22-point effort.
02:33Why not take the points with the Rockets?
02:34I don't understand what's going on with the Bucs.
02:36Way too talented at this type of season.
02:38But again, as I said, Damian Lillard coming back, which should be a great thing.
02:41I'm not so sure it is.
02:42I'll take the points tonight.
02:45The Houston Rockets on this five-game win streak have covered in four.
02:49In fact, the Rockets have covered in nine of ten victories so far this year, including
02:53twice outright as an underdog, and their two outright wins as a dog against the Mavericks
03:00and against the New York Knicks.
03:02Both totals have stayed under.
03:04Maybe something to keep in mind if, like Donnie, you expect this game to be competitive.
03:09The Bucs are still just four and nine this year.
03:13They have won two of their last three.
03:16They're four and nine straight up, and four and nine ATS.
03:20It has not been pretty for the Milwaukee Bucs so far this season.
03:25Under an eight of 13 games may be leading to that under of a total tonight.
03:29Elsewhere around the association, we head to South Beach.
03:33The Heat hosting your Philadelphia 76ers, Miami three-point home favorite.
03:39Minimal total at 212, and oh, DRS, what can we expect out of the Sixers tonight on the
03:45road against the Heat?
03:47Probably the Miami Beach flu.
03:48You have a couple days off here, and you're in Miami.
03:51You know, those guys like to celebrate and live it up there.
03:53But the one thing that you can't factor in is how good Jarrett McCain has been this season
03:57for the Sixers.
03:58Look, the wins aren't coming now, and the Sixers actually built up their bench so they
04:01can withstand nights without Joel Embiid and any other players injured.
04:05They've been abysmal.
04:06And the fact that they lost that game to Orlando Magic without Paulo Boncaro and the way they
04:10did was just tragic.
04:11If you look at McCain's last five games, 18, 27, 23, 34, and 29, the kid has been absolutely
04:17sensational as a first-round guard coming out of Duke.
04:20Maybe that's the way you play it, but props usually go to die when you take on teams like
04:26the Miami Heat.
04:27The games, you see, it's not 230 and a half, 245 and a half.
04:30It's 212 and a half, basically.
04:31Probably by game time, we'll be around that 210 mark.
04:34But I look for Jarrett McCain.
04:35His three-point props, he's been wonderful behind the arc, Ben.
04:40Joel Embiid has a prop listed, same with Paul George.
04:44That's optimistic for Philly tonight on the road in South Florida.
04:48Jarrett McCain's points prop, though, DRS, already higher than that of PG, 19 and a half
04:53for George, 20 and a half for Jarrett McCain, the dancing man off to a good start in his
05:00NBA career.
05:01Philadelphia, DRS, 2 and 10, not good, underdog in eight of 12 games, just 3 and 5 against
05:08the spread.
05:10It's a three-point number tonight in favor of Miami, who is also sub 500 at 5 and 7.
05:17Again, not many teams around the East above 500 to start this year.
