00:00I think when I heard about this idea, Akhil, who was the guy who was figuring everything
00:09out, he's so passionate, he's so invested in making sure that this becomes a phenomena
00:16jo poore desh ko ek level ki upar le jaa sake hai racing mein.
00:20I genuinely felt the passion, so I said, let's take this chance.
00:24Aur wahi hota hai, in the position that we are in, in our profession, people recognize
00:28us through which we are able to maybe communicate, get more eyeballs to a sport.
00:32I've always been fond of cars, since I was a kid, mein jab bachha tha tabse mujhe gaadiya
00:36bahut pasand, gaadiyon ka bahut shok tha, so this felt like a very easy and natural
00:40connect for me.
00:41Jaise maine ka, I was excited about the fact that there is something new happening in the
00:46motorsport world, in India, at this level, jaise aapne dekha, Chennai mein, the level
00:51of the night race was unbelievable.
00:53The way they've marketed it, the way it's been put together, the way it's produced.
00:57All of y'all are here today to get media in to Coimbatore for a race.
01:01The level of the league is very, very high, so I felt that passion from Akhil and I jumped
01:07on board and then I think to have Dada, John, Nag, Chaitanya, myself, I think it's the
01:11right kind of mix of people that really can get good eyeballs for the league.
01:21I don't think that's criticism, I think that's habit.
01:24Cricket humaari aadat hai, wo hamara daal chawal hai, we've grown up now.
01:30I would say this also becomes part and parcel of the habits, it's a long way to go.
01:33There are other sports that, I mean, in the younger generation, you see football has become
01:37something that people like, but what happens is, bachon ko khelna chalu karna, that takes
01:42a longer time, you know, appreciating a sport and being able to actually nurture kids to
01:47start playing it, so we have it, that takes a bit of time.
01:51Cricket apni jagah mind-blowing hai, we all love it, it gives us the highest form of roller
01:55coaster of emotions, but it's not bad having other things, like you said, pizza ho, burgers
02:00ho, kabhi-kabhi street ka khana ho, you should enjoy all kinds of sport and I think that's
02:06the personality you should try and inculcate in the younger audience, they should enjoy
02:10all kinds of sport, they should play all kinds of sport and this is one such sport that,
02:14I mean, takes a lot of finesse, so hopefully we'll be able to produce many more riders
02:18and drivers in the coming years.
02:22Sabse galat insaan hoon yeh poochne ke liye, because I'm not part of the infrastructure
02:29to make the roads happen for the races, but listen, if they've been able to do a night
02:36race in Chennai, I'm sure when the time is right, maybe towards the slight outskirts
02:39of Mumbai.
02:40In Navi Mumbai.
02:41Whether you look at Navi Mumbai, whether you look at maybe even up in the mountains beyond
02:45Lonavala, I'm sure there are places that can be explored, I don't know, I think Mumbai
02:51is not the easiest city to have a race organised of this size, but we definitely can bring
02:56these cars to have them driving for our people and showcase them, let's see if that happens, yes.
03:07It's always nice, that's what an actor works for, is to gain the respect from the audience,
03:12to gain the connect with the audience again.
03:14I've been working for 12 years, the response to my character in Singham again and the film
03:19has been overwhelming, so I'm very very happy, and what happens is what I appreciate is today
03:23I've come for this event after the release, when people call you by your character's name,
03:27that means okay, Danger Lanka, when they're calling you, they know my name, but they want
03:31to call you by your character's name, that always means that the character's resonated
03:34enough for people to call you by the name, I really enjoy, I'm really enjoying that.
03:38What next for you, apart from films and sports?
03:41Next interview, and then the next interview and then going out and enjoying the grid.
03:45I'm just soaking in the positivity and happiness, to be very very honest, I haven't really thought
03:50very far ahead.
03:56How can I tell you?
03:58When I'm not telling anyone, I definitely won't tell you, but I want to enjoy the end
04:02of this year, and hopefully good things will continue happening in 2025.
