00:07The family of Mary Jane Veloso owes a huge debt of gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:13and all those who helped him to return to the Philippines.
00:17In an interview with the Philippine Information Agency with Mary Jane's mother, Cecilia Veloso,
00:23they were revived by the hope of hearing the news that Mary Jane will be moving to the Philippines.
00:29It is estimated that Mary Jane has been in the death row for more than a decade in Indonesia
00:35because of the case of illegal drugs.
00:37Despite this, the Marcos administration is eager to help Mary Jane.
00:44Meanwhile, the DFA targets that Veloso should return to the country before Christmas.
00:51It's been a long time, so I lost hope.
00:54But now, with the help of our President and the people who are helping him,
00:59it's clear that we are happy because my daughter will be able to return home.
01:05It's clear on camera how far senior citizens are giving opportunities or jobs
01:11that are more than 60 years old.
01:14In House Bill No. 10985 or Employment Opportunities,
01:19for Senior Citizen and Private Entities Incentives,
01:22government agencies and private companies are being assigned to create programs
01:28to help qualified senior citizen workers.
01:32In addition, incentives are being given to private companies to hire senior citizens.
01:41More than 40 beneficiaries of TUPAD helped in repacking the family food packs
01:47of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Pasayen City.
01:51They are among those who were given cash or working bonus.
01:55The program aims to provide livelihoods to workers in the informal sector.
02:01Meanwhile, the DSWD is crying that the stock of relief goods is not enough
02:08to meet the needs of those on the brink of calamity.
