00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. believes that the price of rice will continue to fall.

00:20Before, the price was 58 pesos, but he bought it for 57 pesos.

00:34that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. wants to continue.

00:37At a sectoral meeting in Malacanang, which was led by the Executive Board,

00:41he also gave confidence to the government that the price of rice will continue to fall.

00:47According to the President, there is a high possibility that the price of rice in the country will be projected,

00:53especially since it's not far from the price trend in Southeast Asia.

00:56That's why the President believes that the price of rice will continue to fall.

01:03The government also assured that the banks will continue to lay off people

01:06so that the food inflation will decrease, especially rice.

01:09The Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund, or RCEF, will expand until 2030,

01:15where farm input vouchers will be made possible for farmers

01:19so that they will be able to replace their needs.

01:22This also includes speeding up the unloading of imported rice.

01:26According to the Presidential Communications Office,

01:28imported rice decreased by 15% or 7 pesos per kilo

01:32because of Executive Order No. 62 signed by President R. Marcos Jr.

01:37It's already strong.

01:38It's not like before when people only bought per kilo.

01:42Before, now, there are 25 kilos.

01:46It's already expensive to buy.

01:48The President will also focus on the price of pork

01:51by speeding up the rollout of the vaccine against African Swine Fever.
