Transcript
00:00Hi, my name's Johnny Clegg. This is my colleague Steve Donnelly.
00:05We set up the Tyneside Americana Blues event in January this year.
00:11We had our first stab at doing this event, which was using many rooms and one vehicle
00:18with a lot of bands over the period.
00:21And this was very successfully musically and critically received.
00:26We're having the event in this new venue here, as you see a little bit of it,
00:31the Exchange 1856 in North Shields, which is about five minutes from the Metro.
00:36Over two stages, over three days, with over 30 acts.
00:41All the tickets are online. You can either get a weekend or a day ticket,
00:45so you've got flexibility. Also, you've got a VIP ticket option,
00:49where we have a VIP area where people can meet and greet the artists
00:53after they've done their performance.
00:55We've got an array of artists. We've got Something Old, Something New,
00:59Something Borrowed, Something Blue.
01:01The Old, we've got Stalwarts from the 70s, Medicine Head, Argent, The Animals.
01:07We've also got Ian McNabb, who played with Neil Young's Crazy Horse at Glastonbury.
01:12And also, as an added bonus, we've got Rhinos Revenge,
01:16who are basically Status Quo's band. They're coming along to play.
01:20Something New are the Terror Plane Blues Band, award-winning blues artists.
01:26The Fargo Railroad Company.
01:28Something Borrowed, we've got the sensational Alex Harvey band,
01:32Experience, coming down.
01:34We've got Fleet and Rumours coming.
01:36And we've got Jed Thomas doing a tribute to Rory Gallagher.
01:40And Something Blue, we've got Deborah Bonham Band.
01:43She's the sister of the late John Bonham from Led Zeppelin,
01:47and Gerry Jablonski.
01:49And these guys are still around.
01:52So those folks, like myself, who were 17, 18 at the time,
01:57we're now in our 60s, why don't you come and see us again?
