00:00Mike, are you getting a sense of how many head coaching openings we're gonna have this
00:04time around and what the cycle is gonna look like and how it may or may not differ from
00:08previous ones?
00:09Well, we saw eight in all last year, 25% of the league, I think six, seven, eight.
00:14It's possible.
00:15It depends on how the rest of the season goes.
00:17We already have two.
00:18The Jaguars is feeling like a foregone conclusion.
00:21There are other, and there are a lot of bad teams declared themselves early.
00:25Will some of these bad teams turn it around late and save a coach's job?
00:29We'll find out.
00:30Not every team is gonna be clustered at the bottom.
00:32Maybe it's gonna be clear separation between the bad and the good this year, but the only
00:38way a good team can become a bad team quickly is to bring in a new coach.
00:42You can't overhaul the roster in one year because of the salary cap.
00:45You can't overhaul the coaching staff.
00:47So I think we'll see, by the time it's all said and done, we could see a change in Chicago.
00:52We're gonna see a change in Dallas because there's no buyout that Jerry Jones would have
00:56to finance.
00:58We've already mentioned the Jaguars.
01:00There are other hotspots that could go one way or the other.
01:03And some are gonna go one way and some will go the other.
01:06And yeah, I think at the end of the day, six, seven, maybe eight openings.
01:10And then there's always the possibility of a surprise firing, a surprise retirement,
01:15a surprise resignation that can shake things up as well.
