00:00The Civil Service Commission warned the government agencies
00:04to make the Christmas party simple, especially since many Filipinos were affected by the typhoon.
00:10This is Angela Peñalosa for Radyo Pilipinas for Balitang Pambansa.
00:17The Civil Service Commission strongly warned all government agencies
00:22to avoid the grand celebration of Christmas.
00:26This is also in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s call
00:30to make the Christmas party of government agencies simple
00:34following the heavy rain that was caused by the next typhoon that entered the country.
00:39In a statement of Radyo Pilipinas,
00:41CSC Commissioner Atty. Aileen Lizada said
00:44that all government agencies should comply with the call
00:49since it prohibits excessive and irregular spending.
00:54If there are no such government agencies,
00:56it's good that they establish one
00:58because if you go beyond what is necessary,
01:03you might not be able to get it because it prohibits
01:07exorbitant, unnecessary, irregular, excessive expenditures.
01:13So most likely, Sir Alan, is the year-end assessment.
01:18The House of Representatives also supports
01:21the call to make the Christmas celebration simple.
01:24In fact, House Deputy Secretary-General Sofonias Gabonada said
01:28that they canceled the H-Rep Month in November
01:32and used the funds to buy relief goods
01:35for those affected by the typhoon.
01:37Of course, we will sympathize with all those affected by the recent calamities.
01:42In fact, on November 30, supposedly,
01:44we have the H-Rep Month celebration.
01:46It's a big gathering, supposedly,
01:50but the administration and the leadership of the House
01:53and, per the appeal of the Speaker,
01:55Speaker Martin Ruvales,
01:57we canceled all those activities.
02:00And all the financial cash available for those activities
02:04we also donated and bought relief goods
02:08for those affected by the typhoon.
02:11So, we are one with the nation
02:13to really call for just a simple celebration
02:16and to be one with our constituents
02:19in various districts, especially our homes,
02:22that were affected by the typhoon.
