00:00Thousands of residents in the Bicol region have been left with an amount of P850 million in aid,

00:07programs and services from the government

00:11in the so-called Tabang Bicol-Tindog-Oragon Relief Caravan.

00:15This is the story of Nelaless Moratz.

00:19Because of the successive calamities that hit the Albay,

00:23the house and farm of Emeline's family were completely destroyed

00:27and almost none of their belongings were left.

00:30That is why she is very thankful for the camera,

00:34DSWD and other agencies of the Tabang Bicol-Tindog-Oragon Relief Caravan

00:40for those like her who were hit by the typhoon.

00:43My God, ma'am, we lost our livelihood.

00:46Also, our house was really affected,

00:53and our livelihoods, our farms were really destroyed.

00:58This is a big help to us because of the food,

01:03and the arrangement of the house.

01:08House Speaker Martin Romualdez initiated this initiative in the Bicol region

01:13together with several congressmen and local officials.

01:17They also visited Catan Buanes, Albay and Naga City and Pili in Camarines Sur

01:23to distribute financial assistance, rice and other aid.

01:28In total, the government distributed P850 million in aid, programs and services

01:35for the 170,000 beneficiaries in the region.

01:40We are really thankful for the Tabang Bicol-Tindog-Oragon program.

01:45It is very successful.

01:47I am thankful to all the local officials who help in planning, coordinating

01:53and of course to all the agencies who help here.

01:55From the officials to the residents of the Bicol region,

01:59they are very happy with this amazing caravan.

02:03We are very thankful.

02:05We are very thankful for the help that came to us,

02:09no matter how, they helped us.

02:12Well, first of all, Romualdez is really amazing.

02:17He can help, he is considerate.

02:19He thinks of everything, just like the housing assistance.

02:23He thought of it himself.
