00:00We had a lot of positive things, now it's very important that all the players come back
00:04in a good mood, come back in a good shape and remember quickly what is our identity,
00:11what is our culture because I think they experience different philosophies, different things
00:15and now it's very important that we immediately stick back to our principles, to our identity
00:22and how we want to play.
00:23You also have to work for the momentum, you have to work to get the momentum so it's always
00:30a new game and no matter if there's a break between the games or not the game starts from
00:36zero and you have to go into the game and do the things you can influence on the maximum,
00:44so for example winning personal shoes, running more than the opponent, playing more intense
00:49than the opponent so you really have to work for this momentum so you can't say we won
00:54against City and now the momentum will keep going.
00:57It's about fighting for momentum, it's a new game, it's a different challenge, it's a really
01:01big challenge because for me Bournemouth is one of the strongest teams at the moment because
01:09they can play very intense, they run a lot, they have individual quality, they are in
01:14a good shape so for me at the moment one of the best teams in the league so a very, very
01:20big challenge for us and that's why it's very important for our mindset that we go into
01:25this game and don't say we won against City, we have the momentum, no, it's completely
01:30opposite.
01:31I think it's an even harder challenge so we need to have the mindset to go into this game,
01:37fight for the small things, fight for winning the personal jewels and then you get what
01:42you deserve.
01:43Bournemouth have a great one-against-one players, they have a great striker, they have Semenu,
01:50they have Kluivert so individual quality with the wingers and on top of that they have great
01:57players in the back, with Genessi you can open a game with his passes, with Christy
02:03in the midfield so a very, very strong team, a very compact team so for me it's no surprise
02:09that they beat these two big clubs.
02:13I'm Brian and I'm joined with Albion writer Derren Howard, now we've just come out of
02:18the pre-match press conference for the Brighton v Albion Bournemouth game, Bournemouth away
02:23for Brighton.
02:24What are you thinking about this one Derren?
02:26Bournemouth are very strong at home, they've already beaten Manchester City in Arsenal.
02:31And did Fabian Herzler say anything about that international break and actually wanting
02:36to sort of go full throttle after that amazing 2-1 victory for the Albion?
02:40He did, he was very keen to, he always stresses after the international break that the players
02:45have to re-adapt, when they come back to Brighton he wants them to adapt quickly and then get
02:50used to the Premier League and the rigours and the demands, the unique demands of the
02:54Premier League that it faces.
02:57So I think they've learned from previous international breaks and he's learned how to juggle his
03:02squad as well coming back from these.
03:05So yeah I don't see any reason why Brighton should have any hangover and I think they'll
03:10be in good shape with the players that they've got coming back from injury hopefully.
03:15Matt O'Reilly, Jal Pedro should be available, Carlos Bolivar should hopefully start.
03:20So yeah they should be good, should be good.
03:22Yeah it seemed like good news on the injury front and a unique story that came out of
03:26the press conference was the fact that Fabian Herzler organised a bingo night for him and
03:31his staff and I think not many reporters thought that was going to be coming out of that press
03:36conference but I guess it shows you how comfortable he is and how he's putting his own personal
03:41touch on getting to know not just the players but the staff involved in the club.
03:45Yeah that's right, he's very big on team bonding and making it more of a community feel as
03:53well.
03:54So he feels the stresses of the Premier League are obvious, it's a high pressure situation
03:59that demands to win, to improve, to be the best at a constant and these things like the
04:05bingo nights that seem to be good fun, it's just a release, it's a chance just to take
04:09off the pressure, have a chat with the players on a more comfortable level, get players talking
04:16about situations where players could be new fathers, there could be new different situations,
04:23all sorts of different situations that they perhaps don't get to talk about in the day-to-day
04:27rigour of the grind of the Premier League.
04:30So yeah it's just a nice chance just to chill out really and just enjoy each other's company
04:35I think.
04:36So yeah it sounds good fun.
04:37Definitely and it's strictly business for the weekend with Albion away to Bournemouth.
04:42Persler was also mentioning that he praised Iriola, the Bournemouth manager, for what
04:47he's done and you can see why, I mean they've done really well, they've signed some really
04:51key players, a few more tactics and got some really good results this season already against
04:56Man City and Arsenal.
04:58Yeah, yeah for sure, they're a really strong team and you can't not be impressed by the
05:04job that he's done since arriving.
05:06I don't think many people knew about him before he came to the Premier League, did really
05:11well last season and they've carried on the good work again this season and I think it's
05:15going to be a very, very tough game, really intense, a sort of 12,000 seater stadium but
05:21it's very tight, compact and you really feel the atmosphere there, it's quite an intimate
05:26setting for football and Brighton have struggled there in the past so they haven't always had
05:32the best results there.
05:34So yeah, they've got to go there, face up to that and just really give a good account
05:39of themselves.
05:40Definitely, there you have it, can Fabian Persler redeem Roberto Di Zerbi's 3-0 loss
05:45that occurred last season, is the Battle of the Piers and all to find out.
05:49Cheers Darren, speak to you soon.
05:51Thanks Henry.
