00:00There was no direct participation of a task force of America in the operations of the Philippines in Ayungin, Sioux Valley.

00:08However, it gave a lot of support, according to the National Security Council.

00:18Despite the existence of the Task Force Ayungin of the United States,

00:23National Security Adviser Eduardo Año said that the Philippines is still making full efforts in the operations in Ayungin, Sioux Valley.

00:30U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III shared on social media the existence of the U.S. Task Force Ayungin

00:38and how it is treating its American troops in its visit on Tuesday to the AFP Western Command in Palawan.

00:46It was also confirmed by the United States Embassy in the Philippines.

00:50Año clarified that there was no direct participation of the so-called task force in the operations in Ayungin, Sioux Valley,

00:57including the resupply or RORE mission in the BRP Sierra Madre.

01:01This is a U.S. task force.

01:03Needless to say, it is internal to them on how they will support the armed forces.

01:09The RORE, the Ayungin, is always a pure Filipino operation.

01:13For Año, the support provided by the task force when it comes to intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations

01:22and maritime domain awareness is not limited to Ayungin, Sioux Valley.

01:27This is not centered just on Ayungin.

01:30This is, in other words, all aspects of MDT-SEB, our cooperation, collaboration with the U.S. forces.

01:44In a statement, the U.S. Embassy said that this initiative is based on different lines of cooperation

01:52between the forces of America and the Philippines,

01:55including the Mutual Defense Board, Security Engagement Board Process, and the Maritime Framework,

02:01which separates a free and open region of the Indo-Pacific.

02:07According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines,

02:10the presence of the U.S. troops in Palawan is to provide technical assistance to the Command and Control Fusion Center in the Western Command.

02:18Meanwhile, various armies from the ASEAN region joined together today in Pampanga

02:24for the first ASEAN Army Smith after 8 years.

02:28The Philippines is its host again, with the theme of Strengthening Unity, Security, and Prosperity,

02:35Fostering Comradery and Cooperation.
