00:00So you mentioned the changing situation right now, where we need to trade, what would you
00:09elaborate on the situation, the kind of hurdles that we potentially face in terms of connectivity?
00:14Well, I think, as I mentioned previously, there are hurdles, there are roadblocks, that's
00:20why we need to take down the barriers within ASEAN.
00:24Examples of those?
00:26No, I mean like custom credence, for example, so we need to reduce the red tape, we need
00:32to reduce the bureaucracy.
00:34For example, custom credence, we have something that is important in terms of logistics, we
00:39need to of course talk to the respective relevant agencies, with the respective governments,
00:45but through this platform, these are the issues being discussed, and we want to impress upon
00:51each other, member states, that it is beneficial to everyone, it's a win-win to everyone.
00:56It's not just that taking down barriers only benefits one country, but it benefits the
01:01region as a whole.
01:02This is where I think Malaysia plays an important role, to provide the leadership and also to
01:09convince member states that the way forward is to have a more integrated ASEAN community.
