Snow may not have fallen from the sky in Farnham yet, but a local artist has sprinkled the town with snowy designs.
Behind the magic is part-time paramedic and mother of two, Sami Harris, and her business, Snow Magical. The business began last year, but this year it has reached a new level, with 17 locations across the town centre sprayed with unique designs by Sami.
The designs include penguins, polar bears, Paddington, and a new elf called Leaf, who can be spotted in 10 of 17 windows she has sprayed around town.
Sami was inspired by another artist who released an online course on how to create snow spray art. Since then, her windows have never been without snow spray.
Her passion and talent led to many long nights creating and practising designs and this year she was asked to recreate them on several Farnham shop windows.
Sami uses very simple tools to apply and remove spray using brushes, scrapers and the spray to move around and shape the spray. No stencils are used to create the artwork.
The support Sami has received has been overwhelming, and her designs have brought many smiles so far.
Sami hopes to continue with even more designs next year. She has also opened the possibility of doing sprays for birthday parties and spooky Halloween designs.
While she is fully booked this year more is to come. A children’s Christmas window trail will be coming soon with Sami’s Leaf the Elf.
