00:20I love Winter Wonderland so much.
00:24I think I go there every year with my uncle and then my dad.
00:29What is it you like about Winter Wonderland?
00:30Ice skating.
00:31I love ice skating so much.
00:35Even though I made four, once or twice, but I get back up and yeah, trying to continue.
00:41It's a very good atmosphere, especially Winter Wonderland.
00:45And in the castle itself there's an amazing festival of colour and music and good food.
00:54Yeah, so that's really good.
00:56And so Cardiff's pulling out very well in that respect.
00:59So yeah, it's a nice place to be.
01:01Yeah, it's quite a decent city for Christmas, like obviously there's not much decorations
01:06around here, as you can see.
01:07A few shops have got a few things, but they need to do a bit more.
01:10Obviously in the night time they've got the stalls and stuff in the centre of it.
01:15They've got the Christmas music on and stuff, but I think once Winter Wonderland's proper
01:21opened up and it's busy, I think it'll be a bit more Christmassy.
01:25Just the city, just the atmosphere in the city, you know, the lights and a lot of people
01:32and excitement and stuff like that.
01:35Just general atmosphere, I suppose, yeah.
01:37Yeah, because it brings people into the city and it engages with the community and stuff
01:41as well.
01:42So it just brings other people in from other places and connects us as a city like that.
01:47Winter Wonderland might be the jewel in the crown for Cardiff at Christmastime, and every
01:51year it attracts thousands of people to the city centre.
01:54The Ferris wheel is back, and like the last few years, now spans across the green in front
01:58of the city hall and across to the castle, which hosts the ice skating rink.
02:03There's food, drink, music, open fires ready to toast marshmallows, rides and plenty more.
02:08It's the big main event in the city centre, and there's no doubt plenty of you out there
02:13right now will either have already been or are looking to visit Winter Wonderland soon.
02:18Of course, the centre of Cardiff is a shopping hotspot over Christmas.
02:22There's the late night shopping, the St David's Centre and around the High Street, but more
02:25than that, the Christmas market is back.
02:28It always ranks among the best in the country, with gifts, drinks, food and Welsh-themed goods.
02:34It requires stallholders to sell things either made in or with things from the local area,
02:39and it's definitely one of the best places in Cardiff, and maybe even the rest of Wales,
02:44to get those perfect Christmas gifts for whoever you're looking for.
