Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has addressed criticism regarding claims that private companies financed his official overseas trips.

Speaking at a town hall session marking the Madani Government's second anniversary on Saturday (Nov 23), Anwar explained that the government encourages private companies with investment potential to cover their own travel expenses when participating in official delegations.

Anwar, also the Finance Minister, added that he does not entertain trivial criticisms or unproductive statements, even in Parliament, focusing instead on matters that contribute to national progress.
