00:00Looking at Liverpool, as we approach halfway through this Premier League season and there's
00:07been no updates on Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk's futures
00:12as well, which we mentioned a lot in the summer, was going to be quite a standout topic throughout
00:18the season, especially when the season continues to go on and there's been no update by the
00:25club. The players have certainly said a few things themselves, but in terms of the fans
00:30listening, fans watching, what could you give an update on and what's the stance of the
00:35club when it comes to these star players? Because if they are to go ahead and win the
00:41league with Liverpool, have an amazing season, then maybe opinions and positions could change
00:47when the summer comes and it's time for them to possibly move on. What's the latest you
00:52can tell us? Yes, it was interesting after the Southampton win, obviously Mo Salah speaking
00:58to the press back in the mix zone. He doesn't often give interviews, Mo Salah, he very frequently
01:04walks past or says some polite comments, maybe next week a little joke or whatever, but he
01:14took his time out to go and speak to the press and say there's been no offer on the table.
01:20For me, that's very direct plans, if I'm honest with you. He's probably been told by his agent,
01:29right, we need to start getting some talk going here, because quite clearly, talks are
01:35stolen. I mean, there's no doubt that Liverpool have been in talks with his agency, with Urge
01:40Bandai, Trent Central, Alexander-Arnold, but they haven't been able to really come to the
01:48point, certainly with Mo Salah it seems, that you think he'll sign a contract if they
01:53draw one up. Maybe they're too far apart in wages, Liverpool worry about his age, he's
01:59obviously going to be 33 in June, but he's not stopping. Are one party waiting for each
02:08other to blink, maybe? I don't know, but Urge Bandai's a little bit different, I think he's
02:12a bit more relaxed about him, where else does he go, he's captain of Liverpool, he's got
02:18a few years left at the top, where else would he go? The same with Mo Salah, really, the
02:24only realistic place you would think is either Real Madrid or Barcelona, potentially a move
02:29to Saudi Arabia, but Trent Alexander-Arnold is the interesting one, because he is in his
02:35peak years now. It's a little bit disappointing how it's managed to get to this point, I think
02:40that a home-grown player, the vice-captain, potential captain of the future has got to
02:46this stage of his contract, and quite clearly there's interest from Real Madrid, and maybe
02:54comes out of Moneyball Alexander-Arnold as well, maybe he thinks, no, I deserve this,
02:59obviously Liverpool move into Adidas next season, and him signing with Adidas, maybe
03:04that's got something to do with negotiations. I'd be disappointed if at least two of them
03:13don't stay, I must admit. I think the one that supporters are rightly concerned about
03:19mainly is Alexander-Arnold, because he's just hitting his peak years, and he's a boiled
03:28fan, came through the academy, and could potentially leave the club for absolutely nothing.
