00:00Staff at the Department of Veterans Affairs had the equal lowest confidence in their senior leadership, APS Census results show.
00:07Staff were most concerned about a lack of teamwork among their senior executives, resulting in a leadership index score of 66.
00:14DVA was one of only two departments that saw their score go backwards this year, with the Attorney General's Department falling from 75 to 72.
00:24Home Affairs staff were also least than enthused with the capacity of their senior leadership, with the equal lowest leadership score, along with Veterans Affairs.
00:33However, this was a one-point increase on last year's result, showing that efforts to improve the culture at Home Affairs may be paying dividends.
00:40At the other end of the scale, the Prime Minister and Cabinet's Department scored the highest, with staff rating Glyn Davis's leadership team among the best in the APS.
