00:06Mihály Munkács with a major exhibition. The exhibition features over 100 of his

00:30Mihály Munkács is the wife of a French painter who became a leader in the elite circles of Paris.
00:36She was the one who inspired him to paint the life of Jesus, and not only that, but also
00:44huge works of art, which he exhibited all over Europe and in the United States.
00:50He exhibited a huge number of them, millions of them in total.
00:54And then, of course, there was a state of order towards Munkács.
00:58According to one of the curators, getting some of Munkács's paintings for the exhibition
01:08from private and public collections abroad was a challenge. Large murals, such as
01:14the Conquest of Hungary from the Hungarian Parliament and Gold Gotha from
01:19Debrecen were also relocated for the exhibit. The exhibition drew inspiration
01:24from two previous major showcases of Munkács's work, held in 1952 and 2005.
01:54The art show will run at the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest until the end of March next year.
