00:00Support for the President has grown substantially and quickly as the video of Vice President Sara Duterte's rant over the weekend went viral.

00:09The President has maintained patience, reticence, and non-confrontational approach against the combative and insolent style of the Vice President in her verbal assaults

00:19that has endeared him even more to the public amidst the Vice President's threats, as BTV's Melanes Moras reports.

00:27House Assistant Majority Leader Jefferson Congon believes the death threats of Vice President Sara Duterte against President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.,

00:36First Lady Liza Araneto Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez can be considered an impeachable offense.

00:42According to Congon, the statements made by the Vice President were serious and dangerous.

00:47However, he clarified, the lower house has not yet discussed any measures to impeach the Vice President because they are focused on their work.

00:55This sentiment was also seconded by House Deputy Majority Leader Paulo Ortega and House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability Chair Joel Chua.

01:25As of now, more lawmakers have expressed support for the administration amid the threats and criticisms from the Vice President.

01:41In a statement released by congressmen who are members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas led by Presidential Son and House Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos,

01:50they strongly condemned what they described as an attack on the country's democracy.

01:54They also rallied behind the House Speaker.

01:56Even local officials expressed support for the President and the House Speaker like in Eastern Visayas where several congressmen and mayors issued a joint manifesto.

02:05At present, authorities are investigating the threats made by the Vice President which the lawmakers support.
