(Adnkronos) - “Il contributo di Otsuka in oncoematologia è estremamente importante in quanto sta sviluppando nuovi farmaci orali che possono essere delle alternative terapeutiche per pazienti affetti da leucemie acute mieloidi. Questi pazienti hanno degli unmet medical need, cioè delle necessità cliniche irrisolte estremamente rilevanti e questo contributo di innovazione permetterà di migliorare sia la sopravvivenza che la qualità di vita dei pazienti affetti da leucemia acuta mieloide”. Sono le parole di Alessandro Isidori, dirigente medico Ematologia e Centro trapianti dell'Ospedale di Pesaro, intervenuto in occasione della conferenza stampa a Roma (Palazzo Ferrajoli) per celebrare il mezzo secolo di attività dell'azienda farmaceutica giapponese in Europa: presenti clinici, associazioni di pazienti e rappresentanti dell'Ambasciata del Giappone in Italia. Oltre ai risultati raggiunti sono stati illustrati gli obiettivi del prossimo futuro in favore di pazienti e caregiver.
