00:07He had an opportunity to go and watch Ohio State handle Indiana on Saturday.
00:12You're going to watch Ohio State again this week, Bill.
00:15But that is really the story is we were, we needed a proving ground for Indiana given
00:21their soft schedule.
00:23They walk into Columbus first half and you're like, okay, it's not ending well for them,
00:28but it's only 14-7 and the second half was a different story.
00:32You know, I went in with a preconceived notion of that game and then I left.
00:36So I thought Ohio State would do what they did.
00:39I thought they would dominate the game.
00:41And I thought Indiana would look like they did against a much better team.
00:45But my takeaway afterward was this, that Ohio State's probably national championship caliber.
00:51And the fact that they made a show of putting Indiana away probably shows that the Hoosiers
00:57have arrived a little bit.
00:58And Kurt Cignetti afterward was very complimentary of Ohio State and very matter of fact about
01:04where his team stands.
01:05They are a playoff team, mainly because some other teams lost and they have some work to
01:10do.
01:11The biggest thing that stood out in that game, Indiana scores on the opening drive.
01:15Their next 17 plays in the half went for minus three yards.
01:19Buckeyes have a national championship defense and the top three teams in the country on
01:23defense are Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Texas.
01:26So if I was betting on a national championship team right now, I'd probably pick one of those
01:30three teams.
