ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂರು ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ಉಪಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೆ ಭಾರೀ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಿಗ್ಗಾಂವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಡೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿತ್ತು. ಚನ್ನಪಟ್ಟಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಖಿಲ್‌ ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎರಡೂ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಮೂರು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಹೀನಾಯವಾಗಿ ಸೋಲು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ.

In the by-elections of the three assembly constituencies of the state, the BJP suffered a huge setback. BJP was confident of winning in Shiggamvi and Sandur. Both the parties were confident that Nikhil Kumaraswamy would win the Channapatna constituency by a large margin. However, BJP suffered a crushing defeat in all the three constituencies.
