00:00Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for Thursday, November 28, 2024.
00:09At present, we are not being monitored by low-pressure areas or typhoons inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:16And at present, two weather systems are causing rain in some parts of our country.
00:23Here in our latest satellite animation, we can see a line of clouds in a part of Northern Luzon.
00:30And it is affecting an area of the Northern Luzon area.
00:34That is the shear line or the collision of cold and hot winds.
00:38So we can see that it is possible that it will be raining,
00:42that there will be scattered rains in some parts of Northern Luzon.
00:46And later this day, it will also be raining, especially in the eastern sections of the Central and Southern Luzon area.
00:56So the axis of this shear line will go down in the next few hours.
01:00Meanwhile, we can also see clouds that are currently affecting a part of Mindanao.
01:08That is the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ.
01:12And because of the effect of this Intertropical Convergence Zone,
01:15there is a high possibility of rain in a large part of the Mindanao area.
01:19And if we can see these clouds, it is also possible that it will be raining in areas of Visayas today.
01:28So we can see that in a large part of our country, the generally fair weather conditions continue,
01:35except for the possibility of sudden or brief rainfalls due to isolated rains.
01:44So there will be a time here in Luzon, as we mentioned earlier, due to the effect of the shear line.
01:51We expect that it will be raining in some parts of the Luzon area,
01:56particularly in Maycagayan Valley, some parts of Cordillera, and the Administrative Region.
02:02And the effect of the wind will be strong, the axis of the shear line will go down,
02:07and it will also cause rain in the areas of Aurora and Quezon today.
02:12Meanwhile, in a large part of Luzon, generally, the fair weather conditions will continue.
02:18In a large part of the Northern, Central, and Southern Luzon area,
02:23we will still experience dry weather due to the effect of the wind.
02:31As for the temperature forecast, in the neighboring cities here in Luzon,
02:36the temperature will vary from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.
02:41The maximum temperature in Tuguegarao will also go down today.
02:45It will reach 28 degrees Celsius, 16 to 23 degrees Celsius for Baguio City.
02:50Today, in Metro Manila, the temperature will vary from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius,
02:5721 to 30 degrees Celsius for Tagaytay,
03:00and for Legazpi, the temperature will vary from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:07As for the weather forecast, in a large part of Visayas, Palawan, and Mindanao,
03:14as we mentioned earlier, due to the effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone,
03:18a large part of Mindanao, as well as portions of Visayas,
03:22will experience scattered rains, landslides, and landslides.
03:27Especially in the areas of Basilan, Sulo, and Tawi-Tawi,
03:31as well as in the areas of Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao region,
03:35and in the area of Visayas, Eastern Visayas, as well as Bohol, and Siquijor,
03:41we will experience a gloomy time with rains today.
03:45And in a large part of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
03:50generally fair weather conditions will continue,
03:53but the chances of thunderstorms will be high in the afternoon, or in the afternoon, or at night.
03:59So, we will just monitor the thunderstorm advisory issued by our Pag-asa Regional Services Division.
04:05As for the temperature forecast in neighboring cities, Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan,
04:11our maximum temperatures in Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa will reach 33°C,
04:1832°C for Iloilo, Cebu, and Tacloban.
04:22Temperatures in Zamboanga will range from 24°C to 34°C,
04:2731°C maximum temperatures for Cagayan de Oro,
04:31and maximum temperatures for Metro Davao will reach 32°C.
04:36As for the condition of our seas, it is dangerous to sail,
04:41especially in the coastal areas of the Northern Luzon,
04:44because we expect the sea level to rise to a very high level,
04:47due to the effects of the Northeast Monsoon,
04:50particularly in the coastal areas of Batanes, and also in Cagayan, along with the Baboyan Islands.
04:56So, there are coastal areas of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
05:00And for the next few days, particularly this coming weekend,
05:04the effects of the weather systems that are currently affecting our country will continue.
05:10So, this Intertropical Convergence Zone, its axis will gradually rise for the next few days,
05:16and it will also be affected by the rains in a large part of Visayas and Mindanao this weekend.
05:22And this shear line, it will also gradually go down,
05:25and it will continue to go down, and it will continue to go down,
05:29with the occasional rain, up to the Bicol Region.
05:33So, this coming weekend, the weather will be rainy,
05:36especially in a large part of Visayas, as well as in the Bicol Region,
05:41as well as portions of the Mimaropa area, as well as in the Northern portion of Mindanao.
