00:00The Department of Health or DOH has passed an agreement to make their mission even stronger
00:06in the fight against the continuous increase of HIV and AIDS cases in the country.

00:16As part of the celebration of World AIDS Day in the next month,
00:22the United States Agency for International Development or USAID
00:28and Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. will continue to promote HIV awareness,
00:35screening, and treatment access in the Philippines.
00:38It will also support community engagement and technical assistance
00:42to the healthway medical networks in the Philippines.
00:45It will also promote the skills of healthcare providers,
00:50expand telehealth access through consulta MD,
00:54and continue to encourage partners and stakeholders
00:58to bring free HIV self-testing kits.
01:01According to the latest report from the Department of Health,
01:04there are more than 40,000 HIV-positive cases in the Philippines,
01:08while more than 400 individuals have been diagnosed with AIDS because of this.
01:13The number of HIV-positive cases per day this year is higher than last year.
01:22The government is responsible for the number of HIV-positive cases.
01:27The Philippines is one of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region
01:31that has the fastest rate of HIV cases.
01:35Because of this, the DOH has intensified information dissemination
01:40and enhanced treatment protocols against deadly diseases.
01:44HIV testing is also being expanded throughout the country.
01:48That is why the DOH should follow the instructions
01:51to prevent HIV AIDS.
