00:00The National Maritime Council will continue working with both public and private sectors
00:04to advance the Philippines' maritime interests. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin highlighted
00:10the importance of a whole-of-government approach for maritime security and following a rules-based
00:16order during the first Maritime Policy Leaders Fellowship. Bersamin also noted the government's
00:21progress with the recent passage of the Philippine Maritime Zones Act and the Philippine Archipelagic
00:27Sea Lanes Act to strengthen maritime security. President's Office for Maritime Concerns Secretary
00:33Andres Centino and Australian Ambassador HK Yu also attended with Yu offering Australia support
00:39to the Philippines in maritime efforts. The fellowship program which covered civil maritime
00:44governance and maritime affairs graduated 22 fellows from various government agencies.
