00:04the political management of the deadly floods that left 230 people dead.
00:08The large demonstration comes a month after the tragedy.
00:12Protesters rallied through the city center shouting, Mazón, resign, in reference to
00:16the regional president of Valencia, Carlos Mazón.
00:19Local and union organizations called for the large demonstration under slogans like, Your
00:23negligence is our misfortune, and Valencia is all of us.
00:27The torrential rains that fell on October 29th resulted in a violent flood, water, and
00:32mud that overflowed several localities in the west and south of Valencia.
00:37Victims criticized the regional executive for not warning citizens well in advance of
00:42the danger, as well as the late reaction of the administrations to deploy aid.
00:52In Namibia, on Saturday, top opposition presidential candidate Pantoleni Itola said his party would
00:56not recognize the results of a controversial extended election marred by chaos and allegations
01:01of foul play.
01:02He made the comment shortly before polling stations closed on Saturday.
01:06Initially, election day was this past Wednesday, November 27th, but having a reduced number
01:11of polling stations led to very long queues and many people stepping away.
01:14Therefore, the election was extended until this Saturday, November 30th.
01:19Leading opposition candidate Itola of the Independent Patriots for Change Party is hoping
01:23to end 34 years of rule in the Southwest African People's Organization, SWAPO.
01:29Opposition parties have complained about the chaos and alleged voter suppression by the
01:32authorities in the face of a strong turnout for their ruling party's rivals.
01:39It was reported by our legitimately registered representatives in various of the polling
01:47stations.
01:49We as IPC and the IPC leadership have reached an unshakable principled decision to make
01:56a statement to the press and to the nation at large, that we are people that believes
02:03in the rule of law, and we are principled in that regard.
02:08The IPC will not and shall not recognize the outcome of these elections, whether these
02:19outcomes signals a win for the presidential candidate of the IPC, whether a win for the
02:27parliamentary seats of the IPC, whether they suggest a runoff because of the outcome.
02:36In Venezuela, the people, along with the army and the police, joined forces in a nationwide
02:41drill to defend the homeland.
02:43In what's called a Civic-Military-Police Union, participants were deployed nationwide for
02:49the defense of the country's sovereignty.
02:50In the states of La Guaira, Trujillo and Caracas, among others, this joint force was mobilized
02:56to prompt its response capacity to any situation that may threaten stability and order in the
03:01country.
03:02The task is to secure institutions and the Venezuelan people itself.
03:12Also in Venezuela, the 6th ALBA-TCP Tourism Ministers' Meeting was held as part of the
03:1817th International Tourism Fair.
03:20The meeting took place in the state of Tachira, aimed at fostering tourism integration among
03:25member states and friends of the alliance.
03:28The alliance agreed on simplifying procedures, harmonizing regulations, and creating incentives
03:33to facilitate tourism among ALBA-TCP countries, stressing that multi-destination and creating
03:38the Bloc's tourism brand will allow to project the diversity and richness of this nation.
