00:25rahmanir raheem, allahumma salli ala sayyidina wa nabiyyina muhammad wa ala aali sayyidina
00:29wa habibina muhammad wa barik wa sallim.
00:31Dhul Hijjah is a very blessed month, the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, Allah swt has sworn
00:38in the Qur'an for these ten days, in Surah Al-Fajr, wa al-fajri wa layalin a'shir, Allah
00:45swt has sworn at the time of Fajr, and has sworn for ten nights, and the Mufasireen have
00:52written about these ten nights that these are the ten days of Dhul Hijjah, and when Allah
00:58swt swears in the Qur'an for anything, it is a very big thing in the eyes of Allah, Allah
01:04swt has created His creatures, and in those creatures Allah swt has given some attributes,
01:09and Allah swt has sworn for those things in the Qur'an, so Allah swt has sworn for ten
01:14nights, and Allah swt has sworn for ten nights, and Allah swt has sworn for ten nights, and

02:28nights, and Allah swt has sworn for ten nights, and Allah swt has sworn for ten nights, and
02:31Allah swt has sworn for ten nights, and Allah swt has sworn for ten nights, and Allah swt
02:35has given us this happy day To welcome the new March
02:38The first point is that we ought to celebrate this day
02:41Allah has given us two happy days
02:44In every Muslim, in different civilisations there are different faith, both are happy
02:48days
02:50In my opinion these are two happy days
02:53Eid-ul-fitr comes in Ramadan, and Eid-ul-azha comes after 10 weeks of Dhul-Hijjah
02:58Look, both of these days arevan figure, how each happened
03:01Ramadanul Mubarak is a month of special worship and especially the last 10 days of Ramadanul Mubarak are special in that it has Laylatul Qadr and we strive extra in those 10 days that we worship Allah and when we come out of that worship, Allah will bless us with His blessings.
03:28and when we come out of that worship, Allah will bless us with His blessings.
03:43and our happiness is expressed through Namaz.
03:47We have been given an extra Namaz.
03:49We are obligated to do 5 daily prayers.
03:51On that day, another Namaz has been made obligatory on us which we call Eid Namaz.
03:55So our happiness is also a controlled happiness.
04:01We bow down to Allah as an expression of our happiness.
04:07We thank Allah with extra Takbeerat.
04:10If you look at Eid Namaz, it has extra Takbeerat.
04:15Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
04:19There is a difference of opinion as to how many Takbeerat are required.
04:23Is it 6, 11 or 12?
04:25It doesn't make a difference.
04:27There are different traditions.
04:29But the fact is that there are 6 extra Takbeerat.
04:32We thank Allah by expressing the greatness of Allah.
04:36Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
04:39As we say, Ya Allah, we thank you, we thank you, we thank you
04:44that you have given us such beautiful days.
04:46The days of Ramadan and the 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.
04:51These 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are also days of worship.
05:00These days are blessed by Allah.
05:03In fact, according to some narrations,
05:06the scholars have said that these 10 days are like the last 10 days of Ramadan.
05:13Like there is so much virtue, people perform I'tikaf in the mosque,
05:17they stay awake at night,
05:19extra worship is done in search of Laylatul Qadr.
05:23In the same way, extra worship should be done in these 10 days.
05:28There is a narration, which is a little weak,
05:30but the Prophet has said that
05:33every day's fast is equivalent to a year's fast.
05:43And every night's worship is like the worship of Laylatul Qadr.
05:48As I said, it is a little weak according to the tradition,
05:51but the concept is correct.
05:53The concept is correct because these days were very virtuous.
05:57And when a Muslim performs I'tikaf in these 10 days,
06:02then Allah has given us another Eid in the name of Eid-ul-Adha.
06:09And there is an extra prayer in it.
06:11On that day, our happiness is fulfilled through prayer,
06:14by thanking Allah.
06:16We have to eat and drink.
06:18People meet and congratulate each other.
06:20So these are both days of happiness.
06:23But in a religious way.
06:25We are a religious nation.
06:27We are a very sophisticated nation.
06:29We are not random people.
06:31Allah likes our sophistication.
06:33Allah likes our culture.
06:35That is why we have been talking for a few days and weeks
06:40about etiquette.
06:42So, etiquette and culture are a specialty of Muslims.
06:45Consider it a specialization of Muslims
06:48that we do everything in a religious way.
06:52When culture is removed from anything,
06:55then it becomes unsophisticated.
06:59There is no beauty in it.
07:03Beauty comes with etiquette and culture in any society.
07:08As I said, our religion teaches us
07:11that we should make these happiness with etiquette and culture.
07:14A special thing about Eid-ul-Adha is the sacrifice.
07:19That is why it is called Eid-ul-Adha.
07:24The sacrifice is special for this Eid.
07:28Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah,
07:31what is this sacrifice?
07:33He replied, Sunnat-e-Abi-Kum-Ibrahim.
07:35This is the Sunnah of your father, grandfather, Ibrahim.
07:41Most of us know that
07:44when Allah tested Ibrahim,
07:49he went through many trials.
07:51One of the trials was that
07:53he did not have children all his life.
07:57Children are born in old age.
07:59When children are born in old age,
08:01and there is a story behind it,
08:04Allah tells Ibrahim in his dream
08:11that he is sacrificing his son.
08:14These verses are mentioned in Surah As-Saffat.
08:17Allah gives him glad tidings of a wise son.
08:31When the son grew up,
08:33became able to walk,
08:35grew up according to an understanding,
08:38or reached a level of decency,
08:41where his understanding matured a little,
08:44Ibrahim asked his son, Ismail,
08:49My dear son, I saw in a dream that
08:52I am sacrificing you.
08:54What do you think?
08:55What was the engagement with his son?
08:58What was the understanding level of the father and son?
09:02We can learn a lot from this.
09:04If Allah gives us a chance,
09:06we will talk about parenting.
09:09We will talk about this topic as well.
09:13But look at the engagement.
09:16My son, what do you think?
09:18What was the upbringing of the mother here?
09:21I am saying that it was the upbringing of the mother
09:23because of the trials that came.
09:25One of the trials from Allah was
09:27that he left his family in the very barren land of Mecca.
09:34And there was another incident
09:36when the water of Zamzam came out.
09:38Because of the crying of Ismail,
09:41because of the biting of the insects.
09:44So, he lived with his mother.
09:47What was the upbringing of the mother?
09:49What was the love of Allah in the heart of the son?
09:51He knew that his father is a prophet
09:53and the dream of a prophet is true.
09:55The dream of a prophet is true.
09:57So, he knew that the commandment came from Allah.
10:01Allah said,
10:03O father,
10:05follow the commandment that has been given to you.
10:11You will see that by the will of Allah,
10:14I will be among those who are patient.
10:20Both of them accepted the commandment of Allah
10:23and left with their son Ibrahim.
10:26Satan came and tried to mislead them.
10:29The pilgrims who go to Hajj,
10:31they try to mislead them
10:33in the same way of Sunnah,
10:35which is called Jamarat,
10:37where Satan tried to mislead them.
10:40So, the pilgrims also try to mislead them.
10:43So, they went and laid their son on his forehead
10:46and stabbed him with a knife.
10:49And from Allah,
10:51a cry came,
10:53And we said to him,
10:55O Ibrahim, you have fulfilled the dream.
10:57Indeed, you are the son of the doers of good.
11:00O Ibrahim, you have fulfilled your dream.
11:04This is how we reward the pious.
11:07And Allah gave him a sheep,
11:10a ram, a lamb,
11:16so that he can slaughter it.
11:18Your test has been completed.
11:20You have passed your test.
11:22So, in accordance with that Sunnah,
11:25Allah has commanded us
11:27to sacrifice all the sheep.
11:32And I have said,
11:34this is valid for 3 days.
11:36So, from 10 to 12 Maghrib,
11:38the sacrifice can be made.
11:4010th day, 11th day and 12th day.
11:43Some people say,
11:45why are we sacrificing?
11:47So many sheep will be slaughtered in one day.
11:49The sheep will be wasted.
11:51And secondly,
11:53we do not fight our logics everywhere.
11:56This is faith.
11:59That we follow the will of Allah,
12:02the command of Allah.
12:06There is a blessed hadith,
12:08narrated by Sayyidna Aisha,
12:11in Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah,
12:14that the Prophet said,
12:17What did the son of Adam do
12:19on the Day of Resurrection?
12:21He loved Allah more than his own life.
12:23That on the Day of Resurrection,
12:25Allah the Almighty,
12:27out of all the deeds of man,
12:29the most beloved deed is the sacrifice.
12:33Allah the Almighty's most beloved deed
12:35is this day.
12:36We do charity,
12:38we do something else on this day.
12:40Allah's Messenger is saying,
12:43that Allah the Almighty,
12:45out of all the deeds of man,
12:47the most beloved deed is the sacrifice.
12:49Because we follow the Sunnah of Ibrahim.
12:52And then he said,
12:54On the Day of Resurrection,
12:56this animal of sacrifice
12:58will come with its horns,
13:00its hair,
13:02and its hooves,
13:04with its hooves,
13:06and its blood will not fall from Allah
13:08in a place before it falls on the earth.
13:11This blood that falls on the earth,
13:14before it falls,
13:16it is accepted by Allah.
13:18فَيَتِبُوا بِهَا نَفْسًا
13:21So make a sacrifice with the happiness of your heart.
13:25There should not be any ifs and buts,
13:27there should not be any question marks,
13:29that if this had happened, it would have been good,
13:31if that had happened, it would have been good.
13:33This is Allah's command.
13:35And the meat of this sacrifice,
13:37feed it to the poor,
13:39feed it to yourself,
13:40feed it to your relatives.
13:42But Allah, the most beloved action,
13:46is the sacrifice.
13:48This sacrifice should be made with sincerity.
13:51It should be made with sincerity.
13:53Acceptance is with sincerity.
13:56Adam and Eve had two sons,
13:58both of them made a sacrifice.
14:00It is mentioned in the Quran,
14:01one was accepted,
14:02the other was not.
14:03So, the one who was not accepted,
14:05he became jealous.
14:07So the other one said,
14:08if Allah has accepted,
14:10that Allah accepts the righteous.
14:15So, acceptance is with righteousness.
14:19So, please don't show off,
14:21that my goat is big,
14:23my camel is big,
14:24my cow is big.
14:25For Allah,
14:26as much as Allah has given you the ability,
14:28according to that ability,
14:29buy the best animal.
14:32According to the rulings,
14:35find out from your scholars.
14:39And according to that,
14:44buy the animal of sacrifice.
14:46And make a sacrifice for Allah,
14:48with the hope of acceptance.
14:50May Allah grant us all the happiness of this Eid.
14:54May Allah accept it.
14:57InshaAllah,
14:58we will take a short break,
14:59and we will be back after the break,
15:00with your questions.
15:01You can email us your questions,
15:03at dinefitrat at arydigital.tv
15:06Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
15:08Welcome back,
15:09we are back with your questions.
15:10Actually,
15:11we have a lot of questions today.
15:12So,
15:13as much as time allows,
15:16InshaAllah,
15:17we will answer those questions.
15:19So,
15:20the first question is,
15:21on what is sacrifice obligatory?
15:22Sacrifice is obligatory,
15:24for which,
15:25according to Zakat,
15:27there is the owner of Nisab.
15:29The Nisab of Zakat,
15:31is approximately 612 grams of silver.
15:34So,
15:35let us see,
15:37what is the rate of silver per gram.
15:40I think,
15:41it is around 300 rupees,
15:45and its equivalent,
15:47other currencies.
15:49So,
15:50around 285,
15:52300,
15:53if we take 285,
15:54for example,
15:55then 612,
15:56is approximately 1,75,000 rupees.
15:59So,
16:00if someone has 1,75,000 rupees,
16:02according to Zakat,
16:03of course,
16:04calculate it yourself,
16:05that 612 grams of silver,
16:07what is its rate,
16:09in the market.
16:10So,
16:11if you have that much money,
16:13you are the owner of Nisab,
16:14so sacrifice is obligatory on you.
16:16And,
16:17whoever has that much,
16:18sacrifice is obligatory on him.
16:20That is,
16:21if it is on you,
16:22then sacrifice is obligatory on you.
16:23If it is on your wife,
16:24then sacrifice is obligatory on her.
16:26The person who has that much money,
16:29sacrifice is obligatory on him,
16:31on an individual basis,
16:32on an individual basis.
16:34Another thing is,
16:35it is possible that
16:36someone does not have that much money.
16:38And,
16:39when we talk about money,
16:40then gold and silver are also included in it.
16:42That is,
16:43there is no cash,
16:44but there is so much gold,
16:45612 grams of silver,
16:47the equivalent price is gold,
16:48or more than that.
16:50Or,
16:51612 grams of silver itself is present,
16:52or more than that.
16:53So,
16:54it is not cash,
16:55it is that.
16:56Or,
16:57it is possible that there is a little cash,
16:58a little gold,
16:59a little silver,
17:00then we will try to include all of them.
17:02So,
17:03if it is on your wife,
17:04then sacrifice is obligatory on her.
17:05If,
17:06there is no gold,
17:07no silver,
17:08no cash,
17:09but there is a luxury item,
17:10a luxury item.
17:11A luxury item is said to be,
17:12which a person does not use,
17:15does not bring,
17:16it is above and beyond his needs.
17:19For example,
17:20there is a piece of land,
17:22a piece of land has been bought,
17:23for example.
17:24Or,
17:25there is an extra house,
17:26in which he himself does not live.
17:28So,
17:29all these luxury items,
17:30of course,
17:31are not for the use of a person.
17:33So,
17:34in that case,
17:35sacrifice is obligatory.
17:36I mean,
17:37I do not have cash,
17:38but I have bought land.
17:39So,
17:40of course,
17:41it is my investment,
17:43it is extra to me,
17:45so it is my luxury.
17:46So,
17:47and such things,
17:48are worth more than 612 grams of silver.
17:51So,
17:52sacrifice is still obligatory.
17:53So,
17:54the person,
17:55who has cash,
17:56gold,
17:57or silver,
17:58or,
17:59he has luxury items,
18:00and those luxury items,
18:01are worth more than 612 grams,
18:03are worth more than 612 grams,
18:06so,
18:07sacrifice is still obligatory.
18:09Make sure that,
18:10every person in the house,
18:12who has so much,
18:13sacrifices individually.
18:16Some women say that,
18:17we only have gold,
18:19we do not have cash,
18:21how can we sacrifice?
18:22So,
18:23to please Allah,
18:24to sacrifice in the presence of Allah,
18:26sell gold.
18:27It is possible,
18:28sell gold.
18:29Or,
18:30it is possible that,
18:31you think that,
18:32you will have cash,
18:33in a month,
18:34so,
18:35arrange it from somewhere,
18:36today,
18:37make a sacrifice,
18:38and when you get cash,
18:39return it,
18:40if you do not want to sell gold.
18:42Otherwise,
18:43selling gold,
18:44should not be such a big thing.
18:47But,
18:48one should not keep such a thing,
18:49from the heart,
18:50which will not give any benefit to a person.
18:51Today,
18:52if we die,
18:53then where will we take gold?
18:55Our heirs,
18:56will distribute it.
18:57So,
18:58today,
18:59we have that money,
19:00in the form of gold.
19:01So,
19:02we should use it,
19:03and make our hereafter,
19:04as opposed to,
19:05keeping it with us,
19:07and displeasing Allah.
19:09One thing,
19:10which Allah has made obligatory upon us,
19:12that we should make a sacrifice,
19:14on the day of Eid-ul-Adha.
19:16And,
19:17we are not doing it,
19:18so,
19:19this is not right.
19:22Then,
19:23the question is,
19:24which animals can be sacrificed?
19:28There is a little detail in this,
19:30but,
19:31a camel can be sacrificed,
19:32a cow,
19:33or,
19:34an animal like that,
19:35a cow,
19:36or a bull,
19:37a camel can be sacrificed,
19:38or a goat,
19:39or an animal like that,
19:40like a goat,
19:41a sheep,
19:42etc.
19:43These three animals can be sacrificed.
19:44And,
19:45a camel,
19:46should be about,
19:475 years old.
19:48A cow,
19:49should be about,
19:502 years old.
19:51And,
19:52a goat,
19:53should be about,
19:541 year old.
19:55And,
19:56it should have no defects,
19:57it should be able to walk,
19:58it should not have ears,
19:59it should not have horns,
20:00etc.
20:01So,
20:02it should not have any defects.
20:03And,
20:04as much as it can,
20:05do as much as you can.
20:06Do a good animal.
20:07But,
20:08one thing,
20:09which we have already talked about,
20:10please,
20:11it should not be a show-off.
20:12Only for Allah.
20:13Only for Allah.
20:14Only for Allah.
20:15Only for Allah.
20:16Only for Allah.
20:17Allah,
20:18Almighty,
20:19wants us to make a sacrifice,
20:20only for Allah.
20:21Allah,
20:22Almighty,
20:23wants us to make a sacrifice,
20:24only for Allah.
20:25In the Quran,
20:26Allah does not receive His flesh,
20:27nor does He receive His blood,
20:28rather,
20:29Allah receives our righteousness.
20:30So,
20:31be mindful of righteousness.
20:32We are making a sacrifice,
20:33only for Allah.
20:34Only to please Allah.
20:35And,
20:36there is no other purpose.
20:37We have no competition with anyone.
20:38We do not want,
20:39people to see us,
20:40or not to see us.
20:41So,
20:42please,
20:43be mindful of this as well.
20:44Some people say,
20:45that,
20:46should I make a sacrifice,
20:47only for Allah?
20:48No.
20:49No.
20:50I live in a foreign country.
20:51Can I send money to Pakistan,
20:52and make a sacrifice?
20:53Yes,
20:54you can.
20:55There are people there,
20:56who are trustworthy.
20:57You can send money to them,
20:58and make a sacrifice there.
20:59But,
21:00make sure,
21:01that the sacrifice,
21:02is within three days.
21:03So,
21:04for example,
21:05if you live in Dubai,
21:06then,
21:07in Dubai,
21:08it is possible,
21:09that the Eid,
21:10happens one day earlier,
21:11and,
21:12in Pakistan,
21:13it happens one day later.
21:14So,
21:15here,
21:16when there is 10 Dhul Hijjah,
21:17it is possible,
21:18that in Pakistan,
21:19it is 9 Dhul Hijjah.
21:20So,
21:21here,
21:22when there is 12 Dhul Hijjah,
21:23it is possible,
21:24that in Pakistan,
21:25it is 11 Dhul Hijjah.
21:26And,
21:27if in Pakistan,
21:28it is 12 Dhul Hijjah,
21:29then,
21:30the person,
21:31who has made the sacrifice,
21:32he did not make the sacrifice,
21:33on the day of Eid.
21:34Because,
21:35till Maghrib,
21:3612 Dhul Hijjah,
21:37the sacrifice can be made.
21:38After that,
21:39the sacrifice is not made.
21:40So,
21:4110,
21:4211,
21:4312,
21:44these three.
21:45So,
21:46make sure,
21:47that,
21:48you feed those,
21:49who do not eat meat.
21:50It is good,
21:51to feed those people,
21:52who do not eat meat,
21:53throughout the year.
21:54This is,
21:55a very big benefit,
21:56to make a sacrifice.
21:57This is also,
21:58one,
21:59it is a commandment of Allah,
22:00as simple as that.
22:01But,
22:02along with this,
22:03on the day of sacrifice,
22:04those people,
22:05get meat,
22:06who do not eat meat,
22:07throughout the year.
22:08Especially,
22:09in this era of inflation,
22:10people crave meat.
22:11I mean,
22:12I have seen people,
22:13how they,
22:14eat meat,
22:15throughout the year.
22:16So,
22:17they,
22:18struggle,
22:19to eat meat.
22:20Eating meat,
22:21is a very big thing.
22:22They struggle,
22:23to eat meat.
22:24So,
22:25they get meat,
22:26to feed them.
22:27But,
22:28if a person,
22:29eats meat himself,
22:30then,
22:31there is no taste in it.
22:32This meat,
22:33is very blessed,
22:34which is made,
22:35by making a sacrifice.
22:36So,
22:37eat it yourself,
22:38take its blessings,
22:39feed it to your relatives,
22:40feed it to your friends.
22:41But,
22:42especially,
22:43those,
22:44who are poor,
22:45who cannot eat meat,
22:46give it to them.
22:47Some people,
22:48ask about,
22:49the skin.
22:50Yes,
22:51the skin,
22:52as,
22:53a,
22:54a,
22:55a,
22:56a,
