00:00I can tell you the atmosphere here at the National Assembly is very unusual, a
00:05lot of tensions, a lot of animosity in the air. You can feel with the
00:09opposition groups coming to talk to journalists. I can tell you there are
00:11dozens and dozens of journalists here trying to grab interviews and we heard
00:17from the socialist Olivier Favre for instance, who's the boss of the
00:22Socialist Party, saying that Michel Barnier never opened the door for
00:27negotiations and what the socialists and the left-wing are trying to do is
00:31save the French people, save the French people from austerity and try to get
00:37measures that won't diminish the purchasing power of the French people.
00:40And then France En Barde, the movement of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the radical left or
00:46far-left party here in France, extremely hard on the French government but
00:54also President Macron with France En Barde actually saying that President
00:58Macron is the person who caused the chaos. It's not the motion of no
01:02confidence that's creating chaos for France but the chaos was already here
01:06due to the snap elections, due to President Macron's decision to call
01:10early elections months ago and they say that the French president needs to
01:15resign to bring clarity that he is to blame for this situation. The left-wing
01:21bloc of course will be backing this vote of no confidence. The French far
01:25right now all eyes on Marine Le Pen and in a few minutes she'll come to talk to
01:29us here at the National Assembly. That's what her entourage has told us, sending
01:35us a text message and I can tell you there will be a lot of cameras there to
01:39see exactly what Marine Le Pen tells us because once again the French far right
01:44has the fate of the government in its hands.
