00:00Have a festering and increasingly infected wound or a cut or laceration worsened by diabetes?

00:06Panic or worry no more. A new innovated machine rooted in a new medical method dubbed New

00:12Pressure Wound Therapy and conceived by homegrown physicians and drawing the attention of medical

00:18community. In addition, two more locally conceived and created inventions made it to the 2024

00:26Indian Startup Festival as our Noel Talacay reports.

00:32Big wound caused by accident, infected wound and even wound due to diabetes. Worry no more

00:40because there is a new innovated machine that will help to heal it immediately. It is

00:47Negative Pressure Wound Therapy or NPWT, innovated by Filipino doctors.

01:17He says he and his co-doctors has innovated the machine because the NPWT is expensive

01:31since it is only available in the US. So it's a very affordable way of achieving NPWT

01:40and up to date, maybe 700 to 800 patients. Apart from Pinoy NPWT, there are two more

01:49innovations and inventions from the Philippines. With the help of the Philippine government,

01:55through Department of Science and Technology, they were able to participate in the ASEAN

02:01India Startup Festival 2024. According to India's Ministry of Science and Technology,

02:08more than 200 startups coming from different ASEAN countries have joined the event.

02:14So we do have a very robust ecosystem of the digital technologies

02:22and I think there is an opportunity for cooperation. The ASEAN India Startup Festival

02:29aims to provide market and revenue to the innovators and inventors in ASEAN countries.

02:36According to the Ministry of Science and Technology of India, their national mission

02:40is to help their neighboring countries who are members of ASEAN to strengthen their

02:46capabilities of science and technology and their products and programs through cooperation,

02:52partnership and bilateral agreement. Reporting from India,
