00:17So until now, our residents of Barangay Nonong Castro are still having a hard time because of the magnitude of the typhoon, Christine.

00:25Based on the video you showed, relief goods are not the only thing that is needed there.

00:33Actually, the report that we have in Lemery, Batangas,

00:39we were able to deliver more than 7.1 million worth of humanitarian assistance in that area.

00:46Family food packs, family kits, hygiene kits, kitten kits, modular tents, and also sleeping kits.

00:54But this time, because we learned about the situation here in Purug 7 in Nonong Castro,

01:00what we will do, Egan, is to go to our Regional Directorate in Calabarzon

01:05and our social workers will assess what assistance is needed

01:09so that we can increase the resources of the local government unit and help our countrymen

01:15to rebuild their homes, rebuild their lives,

01:17and contribute in the restoration of their psychosocial functioning, Egan.

01:24Even if there's no typhoon, you will continue to distribute aid to the DSWD, right?

02:06as provided in the local government code.

02:08Based on our role as a response pillar of NDRMC,

02:14we are increasing the resources of local government units and providing technical assistance to them,

02:22But you know, because we recognize that some local government units are lacking in terms of resources,

02:31of manpower, that's why the DSWD is really focused on helping our partners on the ground.

02:39In the assessment of the DSWD, until when before our countrymen return to normal life?

02:50It also depends on the needs of our countrymen and how we are affected.
