00:06speak to Kevin Finnan, who is the Artistic Director of Motionhouse. Now, you've got something
00:10really exciting coming to Brighton this Christmas, haven't you? Starkey Techs Save Santa. December
00:19the 22nd. Perfect timing. What's it all about?
00:25The Starkey Techs Save Santa. The Starkey Techs are a group of children who play together
00:31and they have sleepovers in each other's house. And it's Christmas time, so they're all going
00:38to celebrate and they're really excited about it all. And they're having a sleepover at
00:43one of their friends' houses at one point. So they're all round there and they look through
00:48the telescope to see if they can spot Santa. And they're watching Santa and, oh no, something's
00:57gone wrong.
00:58Dot, dot, dot, don't give any more away. So they've got to save Christmas.
01:03Exactly. Santa is missing. So the Starkey Techs have to do their very best to try and
01:08rescue Santa and save Christmas for us all. And so the whole show is a real high energy,
01:16full of fun Christmas celebration, really. And we love meeting audiences and we like
01:24having fun with the audiences while we do our shows. It's full of fun and surprises
01:29and sprinkled with humour and joy.
01:33And one of the appealing things, it's not for any particular age, it's for everyone, isn't it?
01:38It's for absolutely everyone. The dancing in it is incredible in places. It's really
01:45fantastic, high quality performance. And it's for everyone from zero to whenever you
01:53want to call. But it's any age and any atmosphere. We love it. It's really great.
01:59And Ariel work as well.
02:01Oh, yeah. The show contains Ariel. It has a beautiful interactive film and screens and
02:09things. It's really something to draw people in. That's why it's been so award winning
02:15show. It's great.
02:16I've got a picture of it on the next screen here and it just looks so attractive.
02:20That matters too, doesn't it? It's got to look good.
02:23Oh, yes, indeed. I mean, our aim is always to bring really high quality performance to
02:30every venue that we go to. So, yes, it's a dynamic, interactive video, dance, Ariel,
02:38circus, Santa extravaganza.
