00:00Arbin Ibrahim, Prime Minister, Deringi Devdivka Hormat
00:08For the decision by the Ministry of Education to proceed with the exams,
00:11some opposition wanted to exploit this issue.
00:16But as you know, we have faced this issue for decades
00:21and we have not postponed exams.
00:25But we must be grateful and thankful to all the missionaries,
00:30including police, armed forces, bombers, APM, etc.,
00:37who took every trouble.
00:39I was in Terengganu and asked how many have been contacted.
00:42They have the list of all in the houses
00:45and they gave the assurance that at least 99.9%
00:50will be able to attend exams.
00:54And they were all put in the temporary hostels.
01:01And interestingly enough, from our past record,
01:05those of them actually achieved better results.
01:08At home, there is no guarantee that they will study every night or every day.
01:13But in these hostels, teachers will come in
01:17and there will be assignments.
01:21And their colleagues and friends are those who are quite committed
01:28and serious in their studies.
01:31And normally, from the past years,
01:34those who have been brought in to these hostels achieve better results.
01:39Now, I am not suggesting that flooding should happen every year,
01:43but I am just suggesting that this idea is not bad.
01:46But of course, they have been attacking us,
01:48saying that if they don't have books and pens,
01:50I have to remind them that this is an oral exam.
01:52You don't need books and pens.
01:54It meant the opposition made a big issue.
01:56There are students who have lost their pens
01:59and they are asked to go to the exams.
02:01This is an oral exam.
02:03Oral means oral.
