00:10Family pays tribute to 20-year-old Edinburgh man who died following fatal road crash.
00:15A pedestrian who died following a fatal road crash in Fountainbridge at the weekend has been named as Henry Farran.
00:21The incident at Dundee Street in Edinburgh happened at around 5.30pm on Sunday, the 1st of December.
00:27Emergency services attended but the 20-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
00:32Henry's family said,
00:34We are heartbroken by the death of our beloved son and brother Henry. He will be so very much missed by all who knew and loved him.
00:41Sergeant Dave Wardell said,
00:43Our thoughts remain with Henry's family and friends as they come to terms with their tragic loss.
00:49An investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing and we continue to ask for any witnesses or anyone with information to please come forward.
01:0014-year-old Edinburgh boy sustained serious injuries in assault by group of 10 youths.
01:05A 14-year-old boy sustained serious injuries when he was assaulted by a group of youths in Edinburgh earlier this week.
01:11Police are appealing for information following the serious assault of the teenager at around 8pm on Monday, December 2nd at Slateford Green.
01:20The group of youths involved seven males and three females, aged in their mid to late teens.
01:25Following the assault on the street between Gorgie Road and Slateford Road, the boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People where he remains in a stable condition.
01:36Residents evacuated after gas blast are now a step closer to returning to their homes.
01:41Residents evacuated from their homes on an Edinburgh estate after a gas explosion a year ago are a step nearer being able to return to the area.
01:4984-year-old James Smith died in the explosion at Baberton, Maines Avenue on the night of December 1st last year and two other residents were taken to hospital.
01:58Neighbours and several other houses were evacuated and are still living in temporary accommodation.
02:03But now agreement has been reached on demolition of at least six homes and plans are being drawn up for rebuilding.
