00:00Once again, the Philippine ships experienced a separate invasion from China
00:06inside the exclusive economic zone of the country.
00:11For the very first time,
00:13the warship of the People's Liberation Army Navy,
00:19which was headed by Chino Gaston, was also able to join the invasion.
00:23Meters cap, 5 meters.
00:26The ship of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources,
00:30BRP Dato' Romapenet, was docked and anchored by a Chinese coastguard ship.
00:35This happened earlier this morning near Escoda Shoal,
00:38which is inside the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
00:41BRP Dato' Romapenet and other ships of the Philippine Coast Guard
00:47helped the Philippine fishermen who were being stopped by the Chinese coastguard.
00:53BRP Bangkaw of BFAR was also docked and anchored by a Chinese coastguard ship.
01:00A Chinese warship was spotted in the area, but it did not approach.
01:07Earlier this morning, while BRP Pangbuhaya of BFAR was approaching Bajo de Masinloc,
01:12it started to be watered by the Chinese coastguard.
01:17Hit! Hit!
01:20Dato' Pangbuhaya was heading to Bahura with another BFAR ship and two ships of PCG.
01:26According to PCG, the target is to destroy the navigational equipment of BRP Pangbuhaya.
01:32In the drone video of PCG, you can see how small the ships of BFAR are compared to the ships of the Chinese coastguard.
01:41In spite of the clashes, BFAR was still successful in delivering supplies and crude oil to 47 Philippine fishing boats.
01:50The one that is aggressive here, the one that is provocative and escalating tension in Bajo de Masinloc are the Chinese coastguard vessels.
01:58This is actually the first time that we have documented a PLA Navy warship shadowing a coastguard vessel in Bajo de Masinloc at a distance of only 300 yards.
02:11This is actually an overkill.
02:13They have disregarded the collision regulation intentionally.
02:18At the very first opportunity, a People's Liberation Army Navy warship of China joined PCG and BFAR.
02:26It reached up to 300 yards from BRP Pangbuhaya.
02:31In spite of this, the National Maritime Council said that the Philippine Navy will not be led by the government
02:38so that the situation in the military of China will not escalate against the military of the Philippines.
03:01But the Navy is on the defense side.
03:04So, if you put a gray on a gray, it can escalate the situation.
03:09At the budget hearing earlier in the Senate, the Philippine Navy was asked about the repeated aggressive movements of China in the West Philippine Sea.
03:17You are bullying us.
03:19You are doing everything to bully us.
03:21If our lives are being threatened, we have to preserve our life, right?
03:26I feel sorry for my friend there.
03:31I'm not inciting you to fight back.
03:34But I am telling you that you have to preserve your life while performing your duty.
03:42We have rules of engagement, Mr. Chair.
03:45We have to defend ourselves, if ever.
03:49But again, as much as possible, we cannot do actions that would escalate the situation.
03:57Self-defense.
03:58We are ready, if ever, Mr. Chair.
04:01If ever there is a situation like that, our Philippine Navy is ready.
