00:00I can't, I can't talk to what they need or not.
00:07I think they've definitely been receptive.
00:09I tried to do my best.
00:10I did reach out to everybody on the team, Friday and Saturday individually,
00:13just to tell them my thoughts, how excited I am for our growth together, and
00:18how much I need the whole group to respond the right way.
00:20They were extremely receptive to that.
00:22Kind of had a chance to set the tone in the first team meeting on Monday, and
00:26that went over well.
00:28Normally, we have a little music playing before the meeting starts,
00:30when the meeting cut off.
00:32Everyone looked at me, and so I do appreciate that attention.
00:35And so I want to maximize their time, be efficient with the time, and
00:38deliver the message.
00:39My goal has always been the same from day one,
00:40as far as being a leadership position.
00:43Again, my goal is to make people and situations better.
00:47So being consistent every single day with my message, being deliberate,
00:51finding ways to challenge the group, but also uplifting.
00:54So I do believe in them.
00:55I told them a minute ago after practice that there is no confidence loss at all,
00:58as far as what I think about them.
01:00Don't care what everybody else thinks about them.
01:02I think we have a very talented football team, and
01:04it's about just putting the work in every single day.
01:06It gives us an opportunity to win.
01:08I don't think about that at all.
01:09I just think about just the moment.
01:11Like I said, they're doing a really good job of trying to help me stay level-headed
01:13and not make the moment bigger than what it is.
01:17I also understand the role that I'm in.
01:18I understand what might come with it, but
01:20I also understand that we make most situations bigger than what it has to be,
01:24because of the outside noise, what everybody else puts a value on it.
01:27I am not the sole person responsible for Caleb's development.
01:31He has a big part in that.
01:32Obviously, I've been charged with kind of leading the way with him and
01:35the team now as well.
01:36But I think his response has been awesome.
01:39My job is to be an effective communicator, be honest and
01:43be direct about what he's doing well, what he's not doing well.
01:45And I have the same exact message for the team.
