00:00But let's get to a bowl game technically this weekend in the SEC, and that is Georgia and
00:07that's Texas.
00:08Am I the only one a little bit surprised that Texas is the favorite in this game in the
00:12heart of SEC territory at this point?
00:15And to Ben's point, the games do have meaning here.
00:17And when we say, look, well, Donnie, the winner moves on, the loser moves on.
00:20It doesn't matter at this point.
00:22They're not sitting any starters going like, it doesn't matter.
00:24We're going to wait till the playoff so we don't get anybody hurt.
00:26Mark, give me the idea of why Texas is favored in this game in Atlanta.
00:30And is it the right choice for them to be favored?
00:34Because the current version of Texas is wildly better than the current version of Georgia.
00:37Look, go back to that first matchup between the two teams, right?
00:41Georgia was probably the best version of itself at that point in time.
00:45Got out to a 23-0 lead.
00:46Oh, by the way, because there were three first half turnovers by Texas and never looked back.
00:50But this is a Georgia team that let Florida hang around for three quarters and got a free
00:54TD late to win by 14.
00:56They lose outright to Ole Miss.
00:57They were tied with Tennessee at half, and they needed a feverish comeback in eight overtimes
01:01to beat Georgia Tech on their own home field.
01:03Since Texas took that loss, they're 5-0.
01:05They only got a scare on the road from then-ranked Vanderbilt.
01:09And they have absolutely demolished pretty much everybody in their path.
01:12So this version of Texas is much better than this current version of Georgia, which is
01:16why Texas should win and cover this game.
01:20I don't want to say it easily because, again, you don't ever want to doubt Kirby Smart as
01:23an underdog.
01:24But this is a game, I think, that's tight.
01:25It's a game that ultimately Texas pulls away from late.
01:27Steve Sarkeesian, I mentioned this earlier, guys, he spoke about.
01:31He was on the side of, yes, I want to play in my conference championship game.
01:34Yes, I want to win my conference championship.
01:36In his first year in the SEC, for him to plant his flag, which apparently is not a thing
01:41in college football that has become wildly unnecessary.
01:44Plant his flag as the first SEC champion of the new SEC would mean a lot to him and cement
01:49him probably as a number two seed in the college football playoff behind Oregon.
01:53I think he wants it.
01:54I think his team wants it.
01:55They want revenge and they get it.
