00:00The Dubai Canal is set to open next month with work on the 2 billion Durham project

00:10moving on schedule and water has been released into the canal for the first time during its

00:14three year period. The release of water is part of a testing process and the level will

00:17be gradually increased through the next couple of weeks. Construction work is moving at a

00:21steady pace with pedestrian bridges being built simultaneously at different locations

00:25including a suspension bridge with a huge arch built above the canal. Dubai Creek which

00:29begins at Al Shandaga Tunnel in Bur Dubai originally spanned 14 kilometers culminating

00:34at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary but the creek has now been extended all the way to

00:38the intersection of Al Khal Road and Financial Center Street where Business Bay begins. Logan
