00:00There's two kinds of work, two kinds of love, two kinds of relationships.
00:04We've all experienced the different kinds of both working, personal,
00:08things that take from you and the things that give to you.
00:12When I think about the music I made that led to this,
00:15they're all relationships that have given me so much power, so much love,
00:22allowed me to find myself, allowed me to understand the harsh realities of my own limitations.
00:30And it's allowed me to even have a partner and have a marriage, which I never thought I would
00:36have. And what it makes me realize, whether it's Lana, who's here, or anyone I get to work with,
00:42or people I don't, they're just my favorite artists. This mythology of being an absolute
00:47damaged piece of shit isn't real. And I think we all make our best work when we're being decent
00:53and good to each other and to ourselves. I really appreciate this. And I wrote a lot of stuff about
01:02ticketing, but you've heard me say it. I just hope we can have a really good, I hope we can
01:06have some fun. You know, it's all burned to the ground in a good way. Nothing matters, right?
01:10Like half you fuckers probably care more about Pop Crave than Pitchfork. Nothing matters. Like,
01:15why not just have fun? We've all, we get it. You know, like, everyone I meet is like,
01:20everyone hates me. And I'm like, no one, I've never heard that. Like, everyone feels so hated.
01:24And no one hates you. You just are fed all the shit that people hate about you. And most of them
01:28are nine. Or literally bots. And it's like, at some point, I think we have to get together and
01:35be like, it's so cooked. Nothing matters. Nothing matters besides making great music. So I think
01:40it's a wonderful time. I'm honored to be in this room. And I really, really think that Lana Del Rey
01:47is God's gift.
