00:00Like last night, DRS and Arrowhead in a divisional duel between AFC West foes,
00:08the Chiefs and the Chargers on Sunday night. Direct ramifications for a divisional crowd,
00:15which the Kansas City Chiefs find once again for a ninth consecutive season. And they find it as
00:24as they have found 10 of 12 wins this season by a single score, inventing new
00:31and heart-wrenching, goosebump-popping ways to win a football game. 19-17,
00:39the Chiefs in front of the Chargers last night in KC. L.A. does cover as a four-and-a-half point
00:47road underdog. A total of 43 in the hook does stay under. DRS, Matthew Wright, from 31 yards
00:55out as time expires, hits a kick off the left upright there in Arrowhead. It doinks, but somehow
01:03goes through and over the crossbar. Kansas City is 12-1. 10-0, however, in single-score games,
01:12make it the 15th consecutive victory for the Chiefs in a game decided by a single score.
01:19You bet your bottom dollar, that's an NFL record. No, absolutely, and that's the way they continue
01:25to win. You look at the first half, which, quite frankly, I cast you to bet the first half. 13-0,
01:29you know, got an early morning show, can't watch the second half, which I caught up
01:32on everything this morning and watched the highlights in the second half, which was
01:35impressive. But 13-0 at the break, this is what Kansas City does. They yawn, they sit back,
01:41no big deal. 14 unanswered points in the third quarter by the Los Angeles Chargers,
01:45and the Chiefs go, you know what? We better have a couple of scoring drives to win this
01:48game in the fourth. And they do it every single time, every single week. It's like you can never
01:52turn the television off in a Kansas City game. Not because it's exciting, it's because you know
01:56they're going to let the other team back in, only to sneak through the back door at the end of the
02:00game. Coming into this, I said, you know what? I like Kansas City. It's one of the few games that's
02:03over a field goal. I think they're the better team, because you looked at Los Angeles coming
02:07in, down their best running back and down their best wide receiver, Ladd McConkie. Who's going to
02:11get those carries? How explosive can you be on offense? Key point, they weren't explosive on
02:15offense. Justin Herbert threw 30 times for only 213 yards and one touchdown. I thought this under
02:20would come in, and it did. But at the half, it looked like it was going to be a 13-3 final.
02:24But Kansas City always does what Kansas City does. Number one, they win. It's what they do. And
02:29number two, they always have their foot off the gas pedal where they can end that football game
02:33early and never seem to be able to do it. Sooner than later, it's going to catch up to you. And once
02:39you get to the playoffs, Ben, it's not best of three. It's not best of five. It's not best of
02:43seven. It's best of one. You continue to do this against good football teams, you're going to be out.
