One in five shop purchases are now made in cash
Transcript
00:00I think that, especially because I work behind a till, a lot of people I think use a card,
00:05which is easier for me, because all I do is get out of a machine, so it's easier, it's
00:09quicker, it's more efficient, but I also get paid cash on hand, so I will use cash quite
00:13often and I think it's easier, because obviously now I've got to go to the bank, put it in,
00:17so it really depends on the situation, like in stores it's quicker and it's more efficient,
00:21but actually on a personal level it's better to use cash I think, especially if you get
00:25paid cash on hand.
00:26Well I hardly ever use anything other than a card when I go shopping, it's much simpler,
00:32just a tap and go and I can go online and see how much has come out of my account, make
00:38sure that it's working alright, hardly ever carry money now, like the monarch.
00:43Obviously when I was a kid, I was growing up with it, not really much card purchases,
00:48but I never use cash anymore, the only time I've had to withdraw money today is getting
00:52my piercings done and that's because they don't accept card, but I feel like in around
00:57five years cash is just going to be non-existent.
