00:00hi I'm Theo and welcome to people on the street today I'm out on the streets of
00:03Manchester asking people about a cashless society and that's because only
00:08one in five payments in shops now are made using cash the vast majority a card
00:12we want to know if people still carry cash or whether they find it all to be a
00:16bit of an inconvenience
00:19never ever ever use cash
00:21the only reason I can think about it is if you're doing anything illegal
00:25like yeah I think it's all like a convenience like I just never feel the
00:30need to like go get cash out if I've got on my phone especially especially with
00:36coins as well I just do cards unless it's like birthday time Christmas time
00:43and then you get cash but then half the time I try and put it in my bank anyway
00:47the thing is as soon as I get money I'll just go into my account yeah it just it
00:53sits there and it's like if I need to use this I will
00:58I'd probably be more sensitive with cash actually only because I've got a limit
